The QC process will be <br />led and documented by the quality control manager. <br />Quality Control is enforced to make sure our final products and proposed improvements comply with <br />industry and engineering standards. Our years of experience along with our established QC program enable <br />us to provide our clients with great service and a great product. <br />Our Team makes use of a series of standard procedures and reports to ensure that all of our services are <br />standardized. Such reports are used during the several stages of a project. Below is a list of the standard <br />reports to be utilized by the design team: <br />Kick-off Meeting Report – This report is a standard template and is utilized <br />internally for every project. The report will contain basic information such <br />as project name, project budget, brief project description, project manager <br />and project team members. In addition, the report provides contact <br />information for the owner and client. <br />QA/QC Checklists – This is a checklist developed by the project team. This <br />checklist is a thorough list of items to be reviewed at each submittal. It <br />also requires the signature of the project manager, CAD drafter and QA/QC <br />person assigned to the project. <br />Action Item list – This standard form is utilized to keep everybody informed about the project progress. <br />The form has an action item list, a responsible person (including clients and third parties), due date for the <br />specific task and a section for comments. <br />Permit Tracker – This standard form is utilized to track permits and provide updates of the permitting <br />process. It also includes expected dates, dates for permit and permit date expiration. This list is provided to <br />the client along with all the permits. <br />Construction Field Reports – The design team has a series of reports to be utilized during construction <br />administration support services. These include: field reports, RFI log, shop drawing log and items beyond <br />scope log. <br />In addition to the above internal procedures and mechanisms, the CMA team is committed to updating the <br />City on a regular basis through scheduled review and progress meetings. The team will also work closely <br />with the PIO (if available) to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the process. <br />Budget and Cost Controls <br />At CMA, we fully understand the need to provide innovative and sustainable solutions on time and within <br />budget. So much so, that it has become inherent to our firm culture. Paramount in achieving a successful <br />project on time and within budget is to clearly define the scope and goals of the current project. In defining <br />the scope of the project, the following are some of the factors that will be considered: <br />wAt the outset of the project it is necessary to clearly define the scope of the project and the project goals <br />for all concerned parties to ensure the successful completion of the project. <br />In any given project, time is of the essence. The CMA team attacks every project with this in mind. Our <br />team will immediately begin our initial services which will include topographic survey verification, utility <br />coordination, as-built or record drawing review and review of geotechnical data where necessary. These <br />tasks will be critical for every project, since any unforeseen conflicts may cause delays. Coordination of a <br />multi-member team requires regular attention. <br /> All matters related to the project will be coordinated with the City’s Project Manager. We will try to minimize <br />the City’s day-to-day involvement by keeping the project manager informed electronically by e-mail and via <br />phone calls. The project manager is the key to a successful project and must be proactive, identify issues <br />before they become problems and offer solutions before they become crisis. The City’s project manager <br />will be kept well informed at all times; however, recognizing that they may be managing multiple projects <br />at the same time, we will strive to minimize his or her day-to-day involvement by:
