As Project <br />Manager, Ms. Ferradaz’s responsibilities included client coordination, project scheduling and budget, and QA/QC project deliverables. <br /> Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant Stormwater Pumping System Evaluation, Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department, FL. As part of the Storm Water Master Plan Update to support the submittal of the modified CDWWTP Environmental <br />Resource Permit, Nova performed modeling of the existing stormwater system. Project tasks consisted of modeling; a field and desktop <br />survey to determine the system’s capacity based on available information, such as, storm drainage areas, pump types, wet well <br />dimensions, inlet elevations and pump station configurations. As Project Manager, Ms. Ferradaz’s responsibilities included client <br />coordination, project scheduling and budget, and QA/QC project deliverables. <br /> <br />Metrorail Central Control Upgrade, Miami-Dade Transit, FL. This project involves modernizing Miami Dade Transit’s existing <br />Metrorail Control Center. As Project Controls Engineer, Ms. Ferradaz provided base line schedule review - reviewing contractor design <br />documents (drawings, specs, etc.) and construction documents (RFI, CO, pay applications). <br /> Palmetto Station - Traction Power Sub-Station, Miami Dade Transit, FL. The project involves the design, construction and <br />installation of a new Traction Power Substation at the existing Palmetto Station. As Scheduler, Ms. Ferradaz provided baseline <br />schedule review and claims management services. <br />North Corridor Metrorail Extension, Miami-Dade Transit, FL. This project consisted of a 9.5 mile elevated, double track rail <br />extension of the Miami-Dade Metrorail system. Nova’s responsibilities in the design effort included as-built information for existing <br />utilities; identifying and resolving utility conflicts and incorporating future plans for improvements and their potential impact to the <br />proposed Metrorail plans; preliminary drainage and utility design for the guide way and associated facilities, including storm water and <br />canal flow modeling. As Deputy Project Manager, Ms. Ferradaz’s responsibilities included utility coordination and relocation design, <br />cost estimating, and project management tasks. <br /> <br />Perimeter Road Canal Relocation & Utility Modifications at Miami International Airport, Miami-Dade Aviation Department, FL. <br />This project included master planning, design, permitting, and construction for utilities and 800 feet of canal relocation; 2700 feet of <br />new 24” water line, 8”sanitary force main relocations, and 1700 feet of new 16” force mains. As Scheduler/Claim Analyst, Ms. Ferradaz <br />provided schedule analysis and claims support. As Scheduler/Claim Analyst, Ms. Ferradaz provided schedule analysis and claims <br />support. Fire Hydrant Flow Testing at Miami International Airport, Miami-Dade Aviation Department, FL. This project involved testing <br />the fire flow capacity of the water distribution system at the airport’s fuel farm. Nova was tasked with the performance of the flow testing, <br />reporting, and providing recommendations on improvements. Ms. Ferradaz served as Sr. Principal Engineer. <br />Miami-International Airport Fuel Master Plan, Miami-Dade Aviation Department, FL. This project entailed engineering services to <br />review and update the current fuel master plan for jet fuel and gasoline / diesel supply and distribution systems, to meet the present <br />and future fuel demands. Nova’s responsibilities included review of current and proposed environmental regulations to determine <br />applicability to the present delivery system, proposed modifications, and future improvements to the airport. Ms. Ferradaz served as <br />Sr. Project Engineer. <br /> Miami International Airport Central Chiller Plant Expansion Project, Miami Dade Aviation Department, FL. This project involved <br />upgrading the existing open-drive centrifugal chillers and cooling towers. As Scheduler/Claims Analyst, Ms. Ferradaz provided <br />schedule analysis and claims support. <br /> <br />Miami International Airport South Terminal Expansion Program, Miami Dade Aviation Department, FL. The expansion of the <br />South Terminal included the addition of over 1 million square footages of terminal and concourse space, 17 domestic/international <br />swing gates, and a new customs and international passenger processing area.
