Conducted several biological resource surveys including <br />seagrass beds, coastal wetlands and an uplands exotic vegetation survey. Oversaw design of project to ensure adequate <br />buffers between proposed shoreline stabilization structures and nearshore seagrass beds. Secured Miami -Dade County <br />DERM, South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), and Corps permits to authorize project construction. This <br />Project will provide treatment of stormwater from the north half of Rickenbacker causeway, which currently sheet flows to <br />tide. Stormwater management is being designed to meet Miami-Dade County public works criteria, which is more stringent <br />than the SFWMD Basis of Review minimum criteria. Project includes various recreational improvements including exotic <br />vegetation removal, native vegetation planting, beach nourishment, grading, and parking improvements for improved <br />public recreation. <br />e.
