A new seawall was designed with appropriate <br />specifications to accommodate the new stormwater outfalls. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Coastal Towers Condominium Marina and Shoreline Stabilization was designed to replace 1,500 <br />feet of failing seawall and docking structures at a 33-slip marina. Value engineering designs were <br />developed for a 60% cost savings to the client by avoiding costly dredging as well as seawall replacement <br />and instead incorporating a rock revetment and reconfiguring the slip layout for improved efficiency. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2. Marine Environmental Expertise <br />Environmental Permitting <br />Our staff includes former regulators at the county, state, and <br />federal levels, with well established relationships with permitting <br />agencies including the Florida Department of Environmental <br />Protection (FDEP), the South Florida Water Management District <br />(SFWMD), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and the <br />Miami-Dade County Division of Environmental Resources <br />Management (DERM), as well as commenting agencies including <br />the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), National Marine <br />Fisheries Service (NMFS), and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). By <br />working closely with these agencies and encouraging frequent communication during project <br />development, Cummins Cederberg facilitates the timely acquisition of permits authorizing construction, <br />any necessary modifications where appropriate, and permit extensions. <br /> <br />Our biologists have a firm grasp of the environmental and logistical coordination efforts needed to develop <br />a project from conception through implementation.
