Quality Assurance I Our Quality System was initially
developed to comply with the ISO -9001-2K certification
requirements with a robust process of independent
audits for "architectural and engineering design and
consulting." Over time, we discontinued the ISO
certification and created our own internal manual, the
Hauser Operations Manual, based upon the program
process and requirements. Our staff re -commit annually
to this quality system, which is clearly documented and
then communicated across all offices, disciplines, and
marketsegments. We have further outlined our standard
operating procedures to demonstrate how we deliver
quality projects for our clients on schedule and below
budget.
Quality Control I Quality control (QC) is inherent in every
Osborn Team effort. Extensive and detailed QC reviews
will occur before each milestone submittal. This process
involves review from the design, operational, cost and
constructability standpoints of the project. Performed
by project team members and also individuals who are
not involved with the project, the process is designed to
obtain an independent, objective review.
RFQ 20-07-01 CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES
A QC group reviews all documents and their comments
are incorporated into them before submission to the City
Manager for each phase of development.
Overall QC review is accomplished by:
• Systematic checking within each discipline involved
on each task assignment.
• Interdisciplinary document review for design
coordination.
Outlined next are several of the basic procedures that
guide us in delivering quality projects for our clients that
are on schedule and below budget.
VALIDATING DESIGN DECISIONS
We have rigorous standards and procedures for the
technical checking and interdisciplinary coordination
review of our drawings and specifications. Our projects
are checked at least twice on smaller projects and a
minimum of three times on large or complex projects. The
checking process involves drawings, specifications and
calculations. Taking our internal technical drawing check
and design validation as examples, we have outlined our
procedures below.
SECTION D - PAGE 11
