BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Underwater Engineering Services, Inc. (UESI), UESI performed as a subconsultant to BPA and provided professional engineering <br />inspection services for underwater structural assessments of five bridges as part of the Miami-Dade Transit Metromover train system. <br />UESI provided a three-person dive team led by a registered Florida Professional Engineer-diver. The scope included all underwater <br />elements, including piles, piers and footings. The entire fender system (above and below water) was inspected for one bridge. A report <br />was prepared for each structure which included photographs, findings, recommendations and element checklists and ratings similar to that <br />used by the Florida DOT. The contract amount was $14K <br />This project had underwater and topside condition assessments of bridges. Ratings followed the system used by FHWA and FDOT. <br />Team experience: <br />Mr. O’Connor was the Project Manager and performed the inspections. Mr. Trotta was dive supervisor. <br /> <br />25.
