BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Underwater Engineering Services, Inc. (UESI), UESI performed as a subconsultant to Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. and provided <br />construction engineering inspection services for piles on the SR-206 Bridge over the Matanzas River, Crescent Beach, FL. UESI provided <br />a three-person dive team utilizing surface-supplied air on a work vessel for all of the work. Thirty-six piles required cathodic protection <br />jackets. UESI inspected each pile at least twice. Prior to the work, UESI inspected each pile to verify the damage as listed in the repair <br />plans. The first inspection on a pile was performed after the pile had been cleaned, the new rebar cage was installed and before the jacket <br />was installed. UESI checked for removal of all marine growth, rebar cage installation per plans, and anode connections per plans. A final <br />inspection was performed on the completed pile jackets. UESI inspected for formwork or bottom blowout of grout and mounting and <br />connections of the anodes. Additional inspections were done as necessary to verify corrections of defective work. The contract amount <br />was $39K <br />This project had underwater construction inspection of bridge piles as the Owner’s representative. <br />Team experience: <br />Mr. O’Connor was the Project Manager and led approximately 50% of the inspections. Mr. Faulk was dive supervisor for approximately <br />40% of the inspections. <br /> <br />25.
