".Y OF SUN P�_ <br />components shall be the same manufacturer and model as original equipment, or better, as <br />authorized by City. <br />Contractor shall submit a monthly wet -check report, or more frequently as required by the City, <br />at its sole discretion, to ensure the proper coverage is being achieved, and utilize this wet -check <br />report for proposals for repairs. In addition to wet checks, the Contractor shall provide meter <br />readings to verify viability of systems at least once per month, or more frequently as required by <br />the City, at its sole discretion. <br />1.7.1 IRRIGATION GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />All irrigation lines are to be flushed, cleaned, and maintained monthly, or as required to <br />maintain the required water flow. This shall include, but not be limited to, the adjustment of <br />the flow of water of irrigation heads so as to minimize or eliminate the flow of water onto the <br />public roadway, sidewalk and buildings, and the checking of breaks, and replacement of broken <br />or stolen heads. All valves, controllers, and other components must be maintained on a regular <br />basis at no additional charge. This will include, but not be limited to, the adjustments of the <br />controllers to ensure the correct amount of precipitation necessary for viable vegetative <br />growth, always following any South Florida Water Management District drought guidelines. The <br />Contractor shall check for breaks in the lateral lines. All irrigation breaks or malfunctions must <br />be repaired by the Contractor within twenty-four (24) hours notification by City (including <br />weekends): This includes all vehicular damage to irrigation and/or landscape materials. <br />Furthermore, all damages noticed by Contractor shall be reported to City Project Manager(s) <br />within twenty-four (24) hours. <br />Irrigation repairs and maintenance shall not be sub -contracted. Contractor shall have sufficient <br />labor, materials, tools, equipment, and qualified and certified supervision to adequately <br />maintain irrigation systems to the City's specifications and be approved by the City. <br />1.7.2 COLLINS AVENUE MEDIAN <br />The Collins Avenue median is irrigated through a `wethose' subsurface irrigation system <br />supplied by City water meters, with the exception of median island `bullnoses' which are <br />watered with overhead irrigation. <br />1.7.3 ON-GOING MAINTENANCE <br />Required on-going maintenance as follows: <br />Weekly: Contractor is to visually inspect all irrigated areas once per week to identify <br />potential leaks as evidenced by water related plant stress, surface water, <br />dry spots, correct spray patterns, prevention of overspray on pavement, <br />head clogging and retracting, broken or damaged equipment, and paved <br />surfaces and walls affected by irrigation spray. <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach I ITB 20-08-01 Right -of -Ways and Facilities Landscape Maintenance Services • <br />
