<br />CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 01600-3 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br />CONTRACTOR shall maintain a log of inspections and shall make said log available to <br />the ENGINEER on request. <br />B. The CONTRACTOR shall verify that storage facilities comply with supplier's product <br />storage requirements. <br />C. The CONTRACTOR shall verify that supplier/manufacturer required environmental <br />conditions are maintained continually. <br />D. The CONTRACTOR shall verify that surfaces of products exposed to the elements are <br />not adversely affected and that any weathering of finishes is accep table under <br />requirements of Contract Documents. <br />1.09 MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT STORAGE <br />A. For mechanical and electrical equipment in long -term storage, the CONTRACTOR shall <br />provide a copy of the supplier's service instructions to accompany each item, with n otice <br />on enclosed instruction shown on exterior of package. <br />B. Equipment shall be serviced on a regularly scheduled basis, and a log of services shall <br />be maintained and submitted as a record document to the ENGINEER. <br />1.10 LUBRICANTS <br />A. During testing and prior to acceptance, the CONTRACTOR shall furnish all lubricants <br />necessary for the proper lubrication of all equipment furnished under this Contract. <br />1.11 SPECIAL TOOLS <br />A. For each type of equipment furnished by him, the CONTRACTOR shall provide a <br />complete set of all special tools (including calibration and test equipment) which may be <br />necessary for the adjustment, operation, maintenance and disassembly of such <br />equipment. <br />B. Special tools shall be delivered at the same time as the equipment to which they per tain. <br />The CONTRACTOR shall properly store and safeguard such special tools until <br />completion of the Work, at which time they shall be delivered to the CITY. <br />1.12 PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROLYSIS <br />A. Where dissimilar metals are used in conjunction with each other, suitable insulation shall <br />be provided between adjoining surfaces so as to eliminate direct contact and any <br />resultant electrolysis. The insulation shall be bituminous impregnated felt, heavy <br />bituminous coatings, nonmetallic separators or washers, or ot her acceptable materials. <br />1.13 FASTENERS <br />A. All necessary bolts, anchor bolts, nuts, washers, plates and bolt sleeves shall be <br />furnished by the CONTRACTOR in accordance herewith. Bolts shall have suitable <br />washers and, where so required, their nuts shall be hexagonal. <br />B. All bolts, anchor bolts, nuts, washers, plates, and bolt sleeves shall be Type 316 <br />stainless steel unless otherwise specifically indicated or specified. <br />C. Unless otherwise specified, stud, tap, and machine bolts shall be of the best quality <br />refined bar iron. Hexagonal nuts of the same quality of metal as the bolts shall be used. <br /> <br />
