CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 16000-1 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br />SECTION 16000 - ELECTRICAL GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required for a complete properly <br />functioning roadway lighting electrical system at the Golden Shores Neighborhood City of <br />Sunny Isles, Florida as hereinafter specified, indicated or implied or in any of the contract <br />documents. The electrical work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not <br />limited to, the following: <br />1. Provide and install new Roadway Lighting systems complete in place. <br />2. Provide and install temporary FP&L electrical service points for Roadway lighting <br />systems, complete in place. <br />B. The work, apparatus and materials which shall be furnished under these Specifications, <br />accompanying Drawings and other Contact Documents shall include all items listed <br />hereinafter and/or shown on the Drawings. All materials necessary for the complete <br />installation shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor to provide complete and <br />functioning power, lighting, communications, instrumentation, wiring and control systems as <br />indicated on the Drawings and/or as specified herein or other sections of the Contract <br />Documents. <br />C. The work shall include complete testing of all equipment and wiring at the completion of the <br />work and making any minor connection changes or adjustments necessary for the proper <br />functioning of the system and equipment. All workmanship shall be of the highest quality. <br />Sub-standard work will be rejected. <br />D. The Contractor shall furnish and install all conduit, wire, fuse kits, grounding between pull <br />box and lighting pole and luminaire complete in place including foundations and <br />miscellaneous appurtenances. <br />E. The Contractor shall return all disturbed areas to an “as found” condition, with the exception <br />of asphalt roadway which will incorporate temporary paving per plans. <br />1.02 COORDINATION <br />A. Each bidder or his authorized representative(s) shall, prior to preparing his proposal, visit all <br />areas of the existing buildings and structures in which work under this Section is to be <br />performed and inspect carefully the present conditions. The submission of a proposal by <br />the bidder shall be considered as evidence that he or his representative(s) have visited the <br />job site and noted the locations and conditions under which the work will be accomplished, <br />and, that he takes full responsibility for a complete knowledge of all factors governing his <br />work. <br />B. All proposed power interruptions to existing equipment shall be at the Owner's <br />convenience. Each interruption shall have prior written approval from the Owner. <br />C. It is the intent of these Specifications that the electrical system shall be suitable in every <br />way for the service required. All material and all work which may be reasonably implied a s <br />being incidental to the work of this Section shall be furnished at no extra cost to the Owner <br />or Engineer.
