CTA Project No. 19-0035-001-01 16000-2 Golden Shores Street Lighting <br />October 12, 2020 SIB Bid No. 20-09-01 <br />D Contractor will be responsible for repairing any of the existing utilities or existing facility due <br />to damage caused by the Contractor during execution of this Work. Repair and/or <br />replacement shall be as directed by the Engineer and the Contractor shall bear the cost of <br />all materials and labor without reimbursement. <br />1.03 INTENT OF ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS AND DESIGN <br />A. Contractor shall provide complete and workable systems. Electrical drawings serve as <br />working drawings for general layout of various items of equipment; however, layout of the <br />equipment, accessories, raceways, and piping systems are diagrammatic unless <br />specifically dimensioned. Electrical drawings do not necessarily indicate every required <br />item. <br />B. A set of red-lined electrical drawings shall be carefully maintained at the job site. Actual <br />conditions are to be put on the drawings in red on a daily basis so the drawings will <br />continuously show locations and routings of conduits, pull boxes, circuit numbers, and other <br />information required by the Engineer. After completion of the project, a set of red-lined <br />electrical drawings shall be submitted to the Engineer. <br />1.04 FEES, PERMITS, AND REGULATIONS <br />A. Where Contract Documents require higher standards than applicable ordinances or <br />statutes, the Contract Documents take priority. Where Contract Documents violate <br />applicable ordinances or statutes, the latter takes priority. <br />B. Contract Documents: Not to be construed to permit work in violation of applicable codes. <br />C. References to codes, standards, specifications, and recommendations (of technical <br />societies, trade organizations, and governmental agencies) are intended to be considered a <br />part of this Specification as though fully repeated herein. <br /> Perform work in accordance with applicable requirements of governing codes, rules, and <br />regulations, including the following minimum standards, whether statutory or not: <br /> 1. National Electrical Code (NEC) <br /> 2. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) <br /> 3. Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) <br />D. Equipment and materials specified under this Division shall conform to the following <br />standards where applicable: <br /> 1. Underwriters's Laboratories (UL) <br /> 2. American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) <br /> 3. Certified Ballast Manufacturers (CBM) <br /> 4. Insulated Power Cable Engineers Association (IPCEA) <br /> 5. National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) <br /> 6. American National Standards Institute (ANSI) <br /> 7. Electrical Testing Laboratories (ETL) <br /> 8. National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) <br /> 9. Factory Mutual (FM)
