The Contractor as a part of his contract shall pay all fees required for permits and <br />inspections required by any authority with proper jurisdiction <br />F. Temporary electrical power and metering will be provided by the Utility Company as <br />indicated on the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish and install the <br />secondary service conduit, wire, connectors and other appurtenances as required to extend <br />the service to the job site as shown on the Drawings. <br />1.05 ADJUSTING, ALIGNING, TESTING <br />A. The Contractor shall adjust, align, and test electrical equipment including protective <br />devices, lighting fixtures, etc. <br />B. The Contractor shall perform tests as specified to prove installation is in accordance with <br />contract requirements. Conduct tests during construction period and at completion to <br />determine conformity with applicable codes and these Specifications. Tests, in addition to <br />specific system test described herein include: <br /> 1. Circuit Continuity: Test feeder and branch circuits for continuity. Test neutrals for <br />presence of a single point ground connection. <br /> 2. Circuit Numbering Verification: Select, on a random basis, various circuit breakers <br />in the panelboards; cycle them on and off to verify accuracy of typed panel <br />directories and actual field wiring. <br /> 3. Product Failure: Replace, repair, or correct, as prescribed by the Owner or his <br />representative and at expense of Contractor, products which fail during tests or are <br />ruled unsatisfactory by the Owner or his representative. Retest, repair, replace, or <br />correct product. <br />1.06 GUARANTEE <br />A. Guarantee systems and elements against defects due to faulty workmanship, design, and <br />materials; conduit free from obstructions, holes or breaks; conduit seals are effective; <br />electrical system free from short-circuits and improper grounds. <br />B. Remedy defects occurring within one year of final acceptance date. <br />C. Guaranty includes labor, equipment adjustments, transportation charges, and materials. <br />D. Employ only service technicians in the trade who have had experience with the type of <br />work included in this Contract that is required for safe and successful completion of the <br />Work. The Owner and Engineer reserve the right to request evidence of experience of <br />personnel used, and to approve or disapprove certain personnel engaged in general and <br />specialty work. <br />E. Immediately prior to final inspection, clean installed material and equipment. Remove dirt, <br />dust, stains, and foreign matter from all surfaces. Touch-up and restore damaged finishes <br />to their original condition. <br />F. All equipment furnished and installed, and all work performed under these Contract <br />Documents shall be guaranteed by the Contractor against defects of workmanship, <br />materials and proper installation for a minimum period of one (1) year from the date of final <br />acceptance. This time shall be increased to the periods stated within individual <br />specification sections as required.
