Includes, but not limited to: Furnish and install all wire and cable as indicated in Contract <br />Documents. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK <br />A Section 16110 - Raceways <br />1.03 REFERENCE STANDARDS <br />A. National Electrical Code <br />1.04 REQUIREMENTS OF REGULATORY AGENCIES <br />A. Conform to UL Standards. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 POWER CONDUCTORS (600-VOLT AND LESS) <br />A. All conductors shall be stranded copper. <br />B. Minimum power conductor size shall be No. 10. <br />C. Conductor insulation shall be type XHHW unless noted otherwise. Branch circuit <br />conductors which run through ballast compartments of lighting fixtures shall be code <br />approved for such use. <br />D. Install permanent phenolic (white on black) nametags at circuit protective devices indicating <br />load fed. <br />E. All insulated wire shall be marked by manufacturer every 24 inches with conductor size and <br />insulation type. <br />2.02 CABLE, WIRE AND CONNECTORS <br />A. 600 Volt Cable Type "A" Wire and Connectors shall be rated for 600 volts and shall meet <br />the following requirements: <br />1. Conductors shall be stranded and U.L. rated. <br /> 2 All wire shall be brought to the job in unbroken packages and shall bear the date of <br />manufacturing; not older than 12 months. <br /> 3. Type of wire shall be XHHW below finished grade and XHHW in dry locations <br />except where required otherwise by the Contract Drawings. <br /> 4. No wire smaller than No. 10 gauge shall be used unless specifically indicated. <br /> 5. Conductor metal shall be copper. <br /> 6. All conductors shall be meggered after installation and insulation must be in <br />compliance with the National Electrical Code. <br /> <br />
