7447 NW 48 St <br />R33166 <br />Miami, Florida -7841 <br />SAFETY POLICY Phone: (305) 403-7841 <br />Fax: (305) 403-7842 <br />EC13001534 <br />• Keep track of 300 log and all other federal/state records <br />• Suggest corrective actions to be taken to eliminate any further incidents <br />Conduct training for supervisors/employees by either on the job training, classroom environment, or <br />written information to be discussed during tailgate safety meeting. <br />Be aware of any changes in any of the federal, state, local and or company regulations and make <br />sure to relay information to all employees. <br />Provide supervisor with all needed personal protective equipment (PPE). <br />Inspect supervisors' trucks for any damaged equipment that needs to be replaced or removed. <br />Check for fire extinguishers, functional First Aid Kits, proper PPE, etc. <br />Supervisor <br />Be familiar with all company safety policies as well as federal and state regulations and make sure <br />that everyone on the jobsite including any subcontractor or visitor is in compliance. <br />Daily trench inspections (trench logs, soil analysis, etc.) to insure that employees are entering a safe <br />trench. <br />Conduct tailgate safety meetings where all employees are to sign in and in turn submit this <br />attendance sheet to the safety officer. <br />Motivate employees to work safe. <br />Review all incidences with safety officer and take immediate corrective action if necessary. <br />Perform First Aid duties if needed. <br />Report any 'close calls'- and or incidents to safety officer for review. <br />Provide PPE to employees as needed which are given to the supervisor by the safety officer. <br />Hourly Employees <br />Work according to good safety practices as instructed by the safety officer or supervisor. <br />Refrain from any unsafe act that may cause injury to yourself or a fellow employee. <br />Use all PPE provided by the company for your protection. <br />Report any unsafe behavior to your supervisor. If the supervisor is the one conducting in an unsafe <br />manor then notify the safety officer or the office immediately. <br />Turn in all damaged hand tools including electric tools that need to be repaired or replaced. Do not <br />use any frayed or damaged extension cords. <br />If operating equipment do a walk around inspection and make supervisor aware of anything that <br />needs to be fixed. <br />Do not enter any unshored or improperly sloped/benched trench, five feet or more in depth. <br />Be aware of the location of fire extinguishers and First Aid Kits which shall be located in supervisor's <br />truck. <br />Use good housekeeping methods. <br />REMEMBER: SAFETY IS AN ATTITUDE. BE AWARE OF IT. <br />STANDARDS &PROCEDURES <br />Accident Reporting <br />All accidents, incidents and near misses shall be reported to the Supervisor and/or Safety Officer <br />immediately. This includes injuries, equipment damage, property damage, etc. All reports shall be <br />completed by the safety officer and be filed in the main office. <br />
