PE Design / D/W Lighting Improvements - FDOT D6 Ongoing Since 2019 <br />Designer responsible for the production of construction plans for ten (10) projects scheduled through this contract. Involved in the production of engineering documents such as typical section <br />package and utility coordination. In charge of plans production, Vvh coordination and electronic deliverables. Design traffic control plans for this rural segment of Overseas Highway. The <br />scope of this project included upgrading existing lighting High Pressure Sodium (HPS) fixtures with Light Emitting Diode fixtures at signalized intersection and the addition of new light <br />fixtures where lighting levels did not meet FDOT criteria throughout Miami-Dade County. This includes lighting for the pedestrian crossings to meet new minimum lighting levels. Improvements under these <br />project types include minor milling and resurfacing, minor widening, minor drainage modifications, signing and marking and signalization improvements. Responsible <br />for field reviews to asses such deficiencies and providing recommendations to improve deficient corridors. <br />Designer assisting in the plans production and corridor modeling design for this 1-mile urban segment of Kendall Drive, in Miami-Dade County. The project <br />improvements include milling and resurfacing, minor widening, signing and pavement marking, ADA compliance, minor lighting improvements and pedestrian signal <br />improvements. This project required significant maintenance of traffic coordination with adjacent projects, to the west and the HEFT Interchange Improvements. <br />Designer supporting the traffic engineering group in the development of conceptual improvement plans, design and construction cost estimates for traffic engineering <br />studies throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe County. Responsible for identifying constructability issues, right-of-way, utility conflicts, roadway, drainage, signing and <br />marking, lighting and signalization needs related to the proposed safety improvements. <br />Designer supporting the traffic engineering group in signal retiming efforts for nearly 1300 signalized intersection along the State Highway System. Efforts include data <br />collection and the development of concept level plans and exhibits for the projection of reports submitted for this contract.
