ADA Districtwide Consultant - FDOT D6 Ongoing Since 2015 <br />Project Manager responsible for the review of ADA improvements performed by the District. This is a task work order driven contract that includes various services such <br />as ADA Plan Reviews, preparation of construction plans for ADA only improvements to be constructed through the Work Program, technical memos addressing citizen <br />and municipality complaints and requests such as APS requests and accessibility reviews. Responsible for providing annual ADA training to FDOT CEI Staff as well as <br />municipal staff involved in the final acceptance of construction projects in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. Assisted the Department as an in-house consultant <br />supporting the Intermodal Systems Development Office in the coordination of all ADA related activities. <br />Misc. PE Design / Lighting Improvements - FDOT D6 <br />SR 94 Kendall Dr / RRR From SW 132 Ave to SW 122 Ave - FDOT D6 <br />Traffic Operations - FDOT D6 <br />SR 5 US-1 / RRR & Safety - FDOT D6 <br />Ongoing Since 2019 <br />Ongoing Since 2018 <br />Ongoing Since 2017 <br />Ongoing Since 2017 <br />Project Manager and EOR for this project to improve lighting levels at signalized intersections for pedestrian safety. This project is in response to changes in the lighting <br />standards implemented in 2016 due to high pedestrian fatalities at inadequately lit intersections. Eleven task work orders along multiple state corridors in Miami-Dade <br />County were assigned through this contract addressing lighting deficiencies associated to pedestrian crossings. This project has a fast-paced schedule and design required <br />extensive field work, coordination with maintaining agency. <br />Engineer of Record responsible for implementing all scoped improvements to this 1-mile urban segment of Kendall Drive, in Miami-Dade County. The project <br />improvements include milling and resurfacing, minor widening, signing and pavement marking, ADA compliance, minor lighting improvements and pedestrian signal <br />improvements. This project required significant maintenance of traffic coordination with adjacent projects, to the west and the HEFT Interchange Improvements. <br />Engineer of Record responsible for the preparation of contract documents such as design variations, pavement designs and typical section packages as well as the <br />production of construction plans for the implementation of traffic safety and operational improvements which included: new signalized intersections and existing <br />signalizations improvements, addition of left turn lanes, extension of storage capacity, signing and pavement marking improvements throughout Miami-Dade County. <br />78 work orders completed under this contract. <br />Project Manager of this contract responsible for implementing scoped improvements to this 2.25 mile urban segment of SR 94 in Miami-Dade County including milling <br />and resurfacing, signing and pavement markings, ADA compliance (reconstruct substandard ramps, remove obstructions from sidewalk, and provide missing ramps), <br />and pedestrian signal improvements. This project required significant maintenance of traffic coordination. Project Letting was February 2018.
