Inspections
PEDELTA
Should the City request that, the Pedelta Team will be conducting structural inspections as needed.
Additionally, should CEI services be needed, we are also available to provide Construction Engineering
Inspections throughout the site activities period. How it gets built is as important as how it was designed and
our team has extensive experience in this field. We can provide full-service project construction services, from
inspection to full supervision and quality control.
Services include, but are not limited to:
• • Construction Engineering
• • Construction Inspection
• • Construction Quality Control
Utilities
Our Team will be responsible for evaluating any impacts to utilities and preparing utility packages for transmittal
to the utility owners. The Department will be responsible for providing any required Utility Coordination and
accommodation plan. Our utility coordinators Kimley Horn have extensive utility coordination experience
within the County area.
Pedelta Team understands the importance of proactive utility coordination as it relates to project design,
schedule, and what can be expected from various utility companies and how to best deal with the issues that
arise during design.
Listed below are some of the steps we will take as part of our coordination effort:
• Initiate early contact/coordination with all utility agency owners (UAOs)
• Review proposed design for conflicts with existing utilities and coordinate with impacted UAOs
early in the design phase
• Develop a utility conflict matrix that includes information needed to help resolve conflicts
• Perform subsurface utility engineering (SUE) to verify horizontal and vertical locations of any
underground utilities that conflict with the proposed structures.
• Perform constructability reviews during design
Our goal is to obtain utility clear letters by final plans submittal.
Permitting
Permitting is a fundamental component of most of the design and construction projects. As such, the Pedelta
team understands the importance of having a well-developed course of action when undertaking this task for
the project. Our team will count with the support our partners Kimley Horn and CH Perez that have been
permitting civil engineering projects for over 30 years in South Florida and have a track record of successful and
professional relationships with all regulatory agencies within the region. Our team will take a proactive
approach to permitting and will ensure that all applicable permits have been applied for and/or addressed as
soon as possible to avoid permitting related delays and to identify and account for items that may affect
construction cost. Our Team approach to a typical permitting process is as described below:
City of Sunny Isles Beach
Request for Qualifications No. 20-10-01
-26-
