Pedelta Relevant Experience
CPEDELTA
Snowden Pedestrian Bridge — Miami — FL - Miami Dade County
Along Commodore Trail over C100 Canal, North of SW 174 St
(Project No. EDP -MT -20180169).
Pedelta was retained by the Miami -Dade Department of
Transportation and Public Works to design a new pedestrian
bridge over the C100 canal and approach paths both sides of the
bridge. The project included the geometric design of the shared
use path, (horizontal and vertical curves), design of asphalt,
marking, signals and drainage, survey, geotechnical investigation, scour analyses, lighting, utility coordination
and coordination with permitting agencies. New drainage system for both water quality and water quantity for
additional path and pedestrian bridge stormwater management was designed. Juan A. Sabrina was the design
project manager and project engineer responsible for the preparation of plans, specifications, and quantities.
SR 826 / 1-75 Express Lanes Project in Miami -Dade County
Miami - FDOT District 4
Pedelta, as part of the Design Team, collaborated in the
preparation of the Design and Build (DB) tender documents of
the bridges and retaining walls. The project included four steel (-
girder bridges, five concrete beam bridges and 76 retaining walls,
permanent and temporary, covering over 500,000 sf. The major
feature is a flyover connecting the express lanes on SR 826 to the
express lanes on 1-75. The flyover has been designed using spliced. post- tensioning U -girders with a main span
of 300 ft. Pedelta also studied an alternative proposal of a steel bridge for this structure. Alternative Design has
been also provided as part of engineering services.
