<br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Invitation to Bid No. 21-03-02 18 <br /> <br />operation of specialized equipment for the mobility impaired, including wheelchair lifts and <br />related tie downs and necessary compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); and <br /> <br />j) Vendor will be responsible for all vehicle’s costs including insurance, fuel, repairs and <br />preventative maintenance of the vehicle. <br /> <br />3.4 DRIVER REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />In addition to the requirements of Section 1.33 of the General Terms and Conditions, Vendor shall <br />ensure that: <br /> <br />a) All drivers will be neat and clean in their appearance, dress in appropriate attire and wear a <br />Vendor issued photo identification badge that is visible at all times; <br /> <br />b) All drivers will verbally communicate effectively in English with passengers and staff and do so <br />in a professional and friendly manner; <br /> <br />c) All drivers do not alter or modify any trips without prior written approval by the City; <br /> <br />d) Drivers comply with procedures and practices in securing passengers, car seats, travel chairs, <br />crutches, walkers and orthopedic equipment at all times; <br /> <br />e) Drivers do not use cell phones (talking and texting) while operating the vehicles; <br /> <br />f) Drivers meet all state and federal requirements for operating the vehicle; <br /> <br />g) Drivers shall have a valid Florida driver’s license and shall have no revocations of their driver <br />license in the past five (5) years; nor any moving violations or accidents in the past three (3) <br />years; <br /> <br />h) Drivers shall be familiar with the operation of specialized equipment for the mobility impaired, <br />including wheelchair lifts and related tie downs and necessary compliance with Americans with <br />Disabilities Act (ADA); <br /> <br />i) Driver shall provide necessary assistance to clients getting in and out of the vehicle. This <br />includes but is not limited to, assistance with wheelchairs and stowage of mobility aids; <br /> <br />j) Provider will be responsible for all fines and/or violations incurred by Contractor’s personnel <br />while in performance of this contract; and <br /> <br />k) Tobacco use of any kind is not permitted while on duty. <br />The City reserves the right, at any time, to approve or reject any driver under this Agreement. The <br />decision of the City regarding qualifications, acceptance or rejection of any driver under this <br />Agreement shall be final. <br />
