The project included <br />replacing the a failing paver brick surface with stamped concrete, installing traffic <br />signalization loops, adjusting utilities, maintenance of traffic and public outreach for <br />this highly visible, heavily trafficked corridor that connects the beach to downtown. <br />Coordination was required with the Florida Department of Transportation, Palm <br />Beach County and the City. <br />Businesses, residents and tourists alike rely on safe and efficient operation of this <br />thoroughfare, therefore a significant effort was focused on informing the public <br />in advance of when and where disruptions due to construction were scheduled <br />and the implementation of safe maintenance of traffic plans for both vehicles and <br />pedestrians. <br />* Project was put on hold at the request of the City to eliminate potential impact to <br />business owners, residents and tourists during the busy holiday season. <br />79
