3 <br /> <br />Q16. Is the fiber being pulled inside the building conduit vacant or has existing cables? <br />A16. All sites are calling for new conduit to building. Existing conduit to enter buildings may <br />be usable. <br /> <br />Q17. Is the City willing to provide bidders a date to visit the sites that require cable installation <br />inside? <br />A17. Refer to Addendum # 2. <br /> <br />Q18. Will the City require the vendor to apply for City and FDOT permits? If so; will the bidder <br />be required to submit engineered drawings for the directional boring? <br />A18. Yes, and the Contractor will be required to submit engineered drawings for the directional <br />boring. <br /> <br />Q19. What are the allowable work hours to complete this project? <br />A19. Contractor must adhere to Chapter 193 of the City’s Code of Ordinance. Unless approved <br />otherwise, by the City: <br /> <br />All maintenance, rehabilitation and construction activities will be initiated during the <br />following hours: <br /> <br />a. Standard time: 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday on Collins Avenue requiring <br />lane closures, as permitted by FDOT permits. <br />All other locations: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays 7:00 am to 5:00 <br />pm. <br /> <br />b. No construction activities shall take place on Sundays and on the following holidays: <br />New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Yom Kippur, <br />Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. <br /> <br />c. The awarded contractor must provide a work schedule with their proposal for the City’s <br />approval. <br /> <br />Q20. Is there a noise ordinance/wavier or permit that the bidder should be aware of? <br />A20. Contractor must adhere to Chapter 193 of the City’s Code of Ordinance. <br /> <br />Q21. Will the City require Off-Duty Police to be used while working onsite? <br />A21. CONTINUOUS OFF-DUTY POLICE SUPPORT SHALL BE REQUIRED FOR ALL WORK <br />RESULTING IN MODIFICATIONS TO THE EXISTING TRAFFIC FLOW PATTERNS, PEDESTRIAN <br />ACCESS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LANE AND SIDEWALK CLOSURES AND DETOURS OR <br />WHERE OTHERWISE REQUESTED BY THE CITY. <br />Barricades, cones, construction fencing, temporary construction fencing and off duty police <br />officers, per City regulations and other relevant requirements, shall be provided by the <br />Contractor when work is performed in areas traversed by persons, vehicular traffic or when <br />deemed necessary by the City Manager at no extra cost to the City.
