6 <br /> <br /> <br />Q36. What size are the existing ducts? <br />A36. 2” <br /> <br />Q37. Have the existing ducts been proofed by others already? <br />A37. Existing ducts were proofed upon completion of construction. There are no un-known <br />breaks to our knowledge. <br /> <br />Q38. Are the existing ducts empty or occupied? If occupied, are we to remove that cable? And is <br />that cable currently decommissioned? <br />A38. The Consultant believes they are empty but unsure. <br /> <br />Q39. If any of the existing conduits are damaged and determined impassable, are we to assume <br />the City would simply extend contract unit prices for the required physical scope to achieve <br />remediation per section 2/17? <br />A39. Refer to section 2.17 of the RFP, titled Change Order. <br /> <br />Q40. If any of the existing conduits are damaged and determined impassable, will the Contractor <br />be paid time and material for those efforts to validate the damage, related work mobilizations, <br />delays and associated maintenance of traffic costs when no separate item exists for these? <br />A40. Refer to section 2.17 of the RFP, titled Change Order. <br /> <br />Q41. Are there lane closure time restrictions? <br />A41. Lane Closure restrictions will be specified by the Florida Department of Transportation <br />permit. <br /> <br />Q42. Noting FDOT standards for MOT will require Police Protection for Lane Closures, Will the <br />City be adding a pay item for Police at an hourly or daily rate? <br />A42. Police rate for lane closures is $70/HR. <br />Per item III, of the Price Sheet, “The not-to-exceed costs must be inclusive of all related <br />expenses including contract administration, technical assistance to the City, travel, and <br />associated actions necessary for the Project by the Consultant as defined in the scope of work.” <br /> <br />Q43. Is the contractor allowed to work at night? <br />A43. Refer to #A19 and #A20 above. <br /> <br />Q44. Plans appear to indicate many 90-degree bends into and out of existing pull boxes. Can the <br />City provide As-Builts with respect to bend radius of existing conduit? <br />A44. All conduit is 2" and radius bends are 90 degree if there is a radius at all. Some run directly <br />due to conflicts with existing conditions but majority enter bottom of box with 90. I'm certain <br />no 4' radius bends were utilized <br />
