Placed in the Trench a minimum of twelve inches (12") above <br />all conduit/ fiber <br />Unless otherwise specified by the Contractor's project engineer the depth of buried <br />cable or wire placed, measured from the top of the cable or wire to the surface of ground <br />or rock will be a minimum depth in soil (Mainline) — 36", <br />Minimum depth at ditch crossings 36", Minimum depth in rock 24" (152 mm) Rock to <br />surface. <br />FDOT or other authority having jurisdiction may require a deeper requirement for <br />minimum depth. In the event of conflicting requirements, the more stringent depth <br />requirement shall be used. The conduit shall be placed in such a way as to maintain a <br />gradual grade down away from buildings and other major structures. <br />All conduit installed will be proofed and include the installation of a continuous, jet -line <br />pull -string. Duct proofing will ensure new conduit are continuous, free from dirt and <br />debris and conduit is in good usable condition. All conduit ends shall be properly sealed <br />with mechanical duct plugs. Duct plugs will be Jack -moon type or equal. A #12 AWG <br />insulated solid trace wire will be placed along with all conduits put in place. This trace <br />wire will maintain continuity from end station to end station. We will use vaults/hand <br />holds for joining the trace wire. Inner duct, where required will be of the corrugated type <br />and orange in color. Inner duct requirements (size and amount) will be determined by <br />the Project Engineer. <br />All conduits will be stubbed up underneath the bottom of each hand hole leaving at least <br />8" but no more than 12" of visible conduit exposed. Conduit and inner ducts will be <br />capped prior to use. After use they will be plugged appropriately to maintain the integrity <br />of the conduiUinner duct from dirt and water.
