Hand Holes/ Vaults All boxes utilized will meet the FDOT applicable indexes and be on the FDOT approved equipment list. Handholes shall be polymer composite Quazite brand or approved equal with a minimum tier 15, 20k load rating. The following sizes are to be used unless specifically called out for in the design: All 17x30 hand holes specified originally to replace existing will now be replaced with 24x36x24 handholes Qty 19 - 24x36x24 (20K Load) will be installed to replace existing hand holes Qty 18 - 30x48x24 (20K Load) will be installed at M01, M02, M03, M04, M05, M06, M07, M08, M09, M10, M11, M12, M13, M14, M15, M16, M17 and in front of the Data Center in the parking lot. As directional bores / trenching is completed, and conduits are placed in a particular work zone we will proceed with the installation of its corresponding hand holes. All hand holes and vaults will be installed flush with the existing grade unless otherwise specifically directed. Box installation will include a 6" base or crushed stone or gravel for drainage purposes. Any earth disturbed in the immediate area surrounding the box will be compacted to avoid any future wash outs. All box, hand holes, vault installations will include all restoration. Box pricing shall also include placement of all bolts to secure lid. All box lids shall have "FIBER" embedded on them. All 30x48 hand holes will have a 5/8"x8' Copper Clad ground rods installed at the bottom of the hand holes with a bonding clamp attached to include a min of 15' of #12 AWG tone wire connected to the bonding clamp. Ground rods if needed will also be placed in all dead-end hand holes with more than two paths. Building Entrances Building entrances will be checked and approved with The City of Sunny Isles Project Engineer or liaison. Preference is given in the following order (but dictated by the facility itself): use of existing entrance conduit, core drilling and bringing conduit up the outside of a facility, attaching a pull -box to the exterior of said building and entering through the wall of the building. We will install a 2" PVC Sch-80 riser on the outside building wall to transition from the underground conduits. We will core bore 2"-4" entry hole into the building and install a sleeve and LB/Pull box as the transition point to get into the buildings needed at: • Heritage Park Garage • Senator Gwen Margolis Park. • Data Center • Samson Ocean Front Park u
