Bore Tech Utilities & Maintenance <br />RFP 22-04-01 <br />conduit turns of 45 -degrees or greater will have GPS coordinate that will be marked and <br />labeled onto the as -built drawings. <br />Hand Holes/ Vaults <br />All boxes utilized will meet the FDOT applicable indexes and be on the FDOT approved <br />equipment list. Handholes shall be polymer composite Quazite brand or approved equal <br />with a minimum tier 15, 20k load rating. The following sizes are to be used unless <br />specifically called out for in the design: All 17x30 hand holes specified originally to <br />replace existing will now be replaced with 24x36x24 handholes <br />Qty 19 - 24x36x24 (20K Load) will be installed to replace existing hand holes <br />Qty 18 - 30x48x24 (20K Load) will be installed at M01, M02, M03, M04, M05, M06, <br />M07, M08, M09, M10, M11, M12, M13, M14, M15, M16, M17 and in front of the Data <br />Center in the parking lot. <br />As directional bores / trenching is completed, and conduits are placed in a particular <br />work zone we will proceed with the installation of its corresponding hand holes. All hand <br />holes and vaults will be installed flush with the existing grade unless otherwise <br />specifically directed. Box installation will include a 6" base or crushed stone or gravel <br />for drainage purposes. Any earth disturbed in the immediate area surrounding the box <br />will be compacted to avoid any future wash outs. All box, hand holes, vault installations <br />will include all restoration. Box pricing shall also include placement of all bolts to secure <br />lid. All box lids shall have "FIBER" embedded on them. All 30x48 hand holes will have <br />a 5/8"x8' Copper Clad ground rods installed at the bottom of the hand holes with a <br />bonding clamp attached to include a min of 15' of #12 AWG tone wire connected to the <br />bonding clamp. Ground rods if needed will also be placed in all dead-end hand holes <br />with more than two paths. <br />Building Entrances <br />Building entrances will be checked and approved with The City of Sunny Isles Project <br />Engineer or liaison. Preference is given in the following order (but dictated by the facility <br />itself): use of existing entrance conduit, core drilling and bringing conduit up the outside <br />of a facility, attaching a pull -box to the exterior of said building and entering through the <br />wall of the building. <br />We will install a 2" PVC Sch-80 riser on the outside building wall to transition from the <br />underground conduits. <br />We will core bore 2"-4" entry hole into the building and install a sleeve and LB/Pull box <br />as the transition point to get into the buildings needed at: <br />• Heritage Park Garage <br />• Senator Gwen Margolis Park. <br />• Data Center <br />• Samson Ocean Front Park <br />u <br />
