Violation of this procedure may result in re -procurement charges, <br />restitution, and/or termination. <br />(f) Note: City reserves the right to contact vendor for random audits on the <br />reporting of meter reading on any machine. <br />5.2.3. FACILITIES: <br />a.) The successful Contractor and a designated City of Parkland staff member <br />will conduct a facility inspection prior to successful Contractor occupancy. <br />The successful Contractor shall not display or affix any signs on or about <br />the facility without first obtaining the advance written approval of the City <br />Manager or designee. <br />b.) Successful Contractor shall be responsible for any improvements at any <br />facility necessary to allow for installation of vending machines. The <br />successful Contractor shall be responsible for any required permitting; the <br />City will not waive any fees. Any improvements must be previously <br />approved by the City Manager or designee. <br />5.2.4. VENDING MANAGER: <br />(a) The successful Contractor shall designate a "Vending Manager" who shall <br />be responsible for all the work to be performed by the successful <br />Contractor under this Contract and shall serve as the point of contact. The <br />successful Contractor must provide to the City a copy of the selected <br />Vending Manager's resume and qualifications as part of their proposal. The <br />selection of the Vending Manager must be approved by City's <br />Representative. <br />(b) The Vending Manager needs to be a certified vending machine manager <br />pursuant to the requirements set forth by the state of Florida Department <br />of Health. <br />5.2.5. VENDING MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT: <br />(a) The successful Contractor shall furnish, install, maintain, and secure high <br />quality vending machines. The vending machines shall be of the latest <br />mechanical/electronic technology and be in new or near new condition. <br />The location of all vending machines is subject to approval by the City. The <br />City may reject machines at any time for functional or aesthetic <br />deficiencies. <br />(b) All costs of the vending machine delivery, setup, service, maintenance, <br />repair, replacement, and removal of machines are to be borne by vendor. <br />(c) Vendor must coordinate the installation of equipment for each location <br />before delivery with the designated City of Parkland staff. <br />(d) Equipment shall be secured to provide for safe, secure operation and to <br />prevent tipping or shifting, including cages for outside locations as <br />necessary. Vendor is to provide and maintain cages for outside locations. <br />(e) Machines must be removed within three (3) business days of notification <br />of ADA compliance and/or building/safety issue.
