RFQ # 22-06-01
City of Sunny Isles Beach Landscape Architectural Services
11
LPOC36007.2022
Continuing Services for
Kimley-Horn is recognized for the outstanding work of our consulting staff, the quality of our work environment,
and our stature as a business enterprise. In 2022, Kimley-Horn ranked #22 on Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best
Companies to Work For” and has been on that list for 15 consecutive years. Kimley-Horn is also regarded as an
industry leader by Engineering News-Record (ENR), where in 2022 we ranked #10 overall and #6 among the Top
100 “Pure Design Firms.” Much of our growth extends from the confidence and trust that clients have in us. Our
clients benefit from the resources of a nationally recognized organization while receiving the personal attention
and response of a local dedicated professional team.
B) Experience in Similar Project Scope
Kimley-Horn would like to be the City’s landscape architecture consultant. Landscape architecture, urban design, and
streetscape design are integral components of any major infrastructure improvement project. Revitalizing commercial districts,
controlling traffic flows, and providing recreational areas and pedestrian and bicycle facilities in increasingly congested areas are
some of the solutions designed by Kimley-Horn’s landscape architects and planners. We routinely perform feasibility studies, master
planning, design, permitting, public participation and consensus building, and construction administration services for landscape
improvements. The firm’s landscape architects and urban planners have extensive public and private sector experience, ranging from
large-scale institutional, residential, and commercial developments to municipal streetscapes and area-wide roadway improvements.
Our planners and landscape architects emphasize the development of a pleasing visual environment, meaningful
theme, distinctive image, and strong sense of place, while being sensitive to our clients’ budgets and long-term
maintenance obligations.
The Kimley-Horn project team feels strongly that we are the most qualified team to provide the
services listed in the City of Sunny Isles Beach Landscape Architectural Services, RFQ No. 22-06-01.
INNOVATIVE URBAN RENEWAL AND STREETSCAPE DESIGN
The Kimley-Horn team has extensive experience in streetscaping and urban design projects, and we understand the balance between
aesthetics, design criteria, and business impacts. These projects include detailed work in lighting systems, banners, specialty paving,
landscaping, integration of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and site amenities such as street furniture, water features, and site
graphics.
Our in-house services include:
• Streetscape design – paving, planting,
lighting, street furniture, wayfinding
• Roadway landscaping
• Parks and recreational facilities
• Public participation and consensus building
• Feasibility studies
• Master planning and site design
• Bicycle and pedestrian design
• Funding strategies
• Permitting
• Construction documentation, bid evaluation,
and observation
Worth Avenue Streetscape
2022
Kimley-Horn #22
