RFQ # 22-06-01
City of Sunny Isles Beach Landscape Architectural Services
18
LPOC36007.2022
Continuing Services for
F) Current Kimley-Horn Clients
As a firm with 100 offices nationwide, we have hundreds of active projects in varying stages of completion at any point in time. As
one of the largest engineering firms in Florida, it would be difficult to provide a comprehensive and detailed summary of the literally
thousands of contracts we currently hold. These contracts include a wide variety of both government and private sector clients
currently under contract through 2025. Kimley-Horn’s commitment to project excellence is clear to our clientele, as approximately 80
percent of our services are for repeat clients—a testament to
our commitment to quality for every task, deliverable, and service
provided by the firm. Furthermore, Project manager
George Puig, PLA, ASLA, has led more than 90
projects in Miami-Dade County since joining Kimley-
Horn. No job has ever been too large or too small.
We have worked on numerous continuing contracts
similar in size and scope to this contract, some of
which include:
City of Miami General Landscape Architectural Services
Contract | Start Date: November 2013
City of Coral Gables Multimodal Transportation Planning and Engineering
Consulting Services | Start Date: May 2018
Town of Cutler Bay Continuing Stormwater Services | Start Date: July 2008
Village of Palmetto Bay General Landscape Architectural Services Contract | Start
Date: February 2015
PROJECT EXPERIENCE
PBA/Fern Isle Redevelopment Project, Miami, FL
Through a Professional Service Agreement with the City of Miami for Miscellaneous Landscape Architecture
Services, Kimley-Horn provided landscape architecture and civil engineering services from concept through
construction administration for the PBA/Fern Isle Redevelopment Project. PBA/Fern Isle Park is a proposed 6-acre
riverfront passive park with amenities such as multi-use lawn area, play landforms, large picnic shelters, outdoor exercise area,
walking paths, parking/drop-off area, historic pedestrian bridge with hanging chairs, waterfront promenade, and wayfinding and
historic signage.
Due to the location of the park adjacent to a branch of the Miami
River, the landscape plant palette consists mainly of trees, palms,
shrubs, and groundcovers that were prevalent along the shores
of the Miami River prior to the development of the City of Miami.
During the design process, the placement of the proposed park
amenities revolved around the preservation of numerous large
canopy trees including a large forest of Southern Live Oaks that
contribute to the unique sense of place of this park.
Client: City of Miami
Fee: $276,846
Completion Date: Ongoing
Team Members: George Puig, PLA, ASLA (Project Manager);
Gregory Gonzalez, PLA; Michelle Latte, PLA; Matthew Wisniewski,
PLA; Jonathan Haigh, PLA, ASLA
Kimley-Horn Municipal On-Call Contracts
