RFQ # 22-06-01 <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Landscape Architectural Services <br />19 <br />LPOC36007.2022 <br />Continuing Services for <br />Veterans Park, Palmetto Bay, FL <br />Kimley-Horn is providing professional park design services to the Village of Palmetto Bay for the new Veteran’s Park, a 3.09- <br />acre site. Elements designed for this park project include: an entrance gate; terrace platform; pathways; flagpoles; a monument <br />commemorating Veterans; a Gold Star Family Memorial Monument; ADA restrooms; sitting areas; interactive kiosks; lighting; parking; <br />and a traffic calming measure for the area. Kimley-Horn provided the Village with conceptual design level plans and exhibits of the <br />park, which were based off data collected from the Village on the site and surrounding area as well as a topographic and tree survey. <br />Preliminary site and hardscape plans were provided to the Village in the final schematic design, as well as a schedule of hardscape <br />and landscape materials, and a tree inventory plan. Traffic data and a traffic calming analysis were provided to establish existing <br />conditions and determine the feasibility of a calming plan. <br />Client: Village of Palmetto Bay <br />Fee: $46,485 <br />Completion Date: Ongoing <br />Team Members: George Puig, PLA, ASLA (Project Manager); Michelle Latte, PLA; Matthew Wisniewski, PLA <br />Miami Worldcenter, Miami, FL <br />Spanning more than 35 acres, Miami Worldcenter is a world-class urban mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Miami. <br />The project consists of more than 13 million square feet of retail, residential, office, and institutional uses connected by state-of-the- <br />art pedestrian friendly streetscapes, promenades, water features, bike lanes, public plazas and new MetroMover stations, all designed <br />by Kimley-Horn. <br />Kimley-Horn provided design, permitting, and construction phase services for the following: <br />• 14 blocks of new urban City and County roadways including bikes lanes, new drainage, and mature canopy trees <br />• $12 million of Water & Sewer Main Improvements (the largest developer led utility improvement project in Miami-Dade County’s <br />history) <br />• Six new/modified traffic signals <br />Veterans Park Design Services conceptual plan <br />03 December 202160’0’
