| 11CONTINUING SERVICES FOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES | RFQ 22-06-01
MCNAIR PARK
Pompano Beach, FL
BA was contracted by the City of Pompano Beach to carry out a City-Wide Parks Master
Plan that resulted in early action projects including the McNair Park Expansion Project.
As part of the City-Wide Master Plan process during the preparation of the Collier City
Neighborhood Development Plan (DECOMAP) of 2011 to 2012, BA proposed improvements
that addressed the addition of a new community center building, all new football facilities
including fields, viewing stands, press box and restrooms, as well as improvements to
parking areas, among other key components. McNair Park is centrally located in the
neighborhood of Collier City and is presently underserved with neighborhood park space.
BA is currently working in close cooperation with the City’s Parks & Recreation Department
to design recreation improvements for McNair Park. The BA Landscape Architects have
met with community representatives to develop an overall park program which will meet
the needs of the community. The City has also decided to develop a portion of the School
property to the north of the park with an 8 lane 400 m running track. BA is developing the
plans for this additional facility as well.
Client:
City of Pompano Beach
Services:
Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Master Planning, Urban Planning & Design, Construction Administration
