<br />Town of Lauderdale-By-the-Sea
<br />Poinciana/Bougainvillea Roadway
<br />and Parking Improvements - Under
<br />the firm's Continuing Services Contract,
<br />Miller Legg provided design and
<br />permitting services for parking, roadway
<br />and landscape architectural
<br />improvements for the Poinciana Street
<br />and Bougainvillea Drive area north of
<br />Commercial Boulevard to alleviate
<br />congestion along the parallel corridor of
<br />SR A1A in the Town of Lauderdale-By-
<br />The-Sea. Services include: roadway and
<br />parking area design, lighting, utility
<br />coordination, permitting, landscape,
<br />hardscape and irrigation, and pre- and
<br />post-construction observation services.

<br />City of Lauderhill Sports Park -
<br />Miller Legg was retained by the City of
<br />Lauderhill to provide civil engineering
<br />design, stormwater permitting, landscape
<br />architecture, irrigation design,
<br />construction specifications and bidding
<br />assistance services for proposed
<br />amenities improvements at the 12-acre
<br />Lauderhill Sports Park. Replacement of
<br />the baseball field and cricket pitch
<br />natural grass with synthetic turf and the
<br />football scoreboard replacement tasks
<br />have been finalized. Miller Legg has also
<br />completed design of the playground area
<br />wood chip surface conversion to
<br />synthetic turf, playground shade,
<br />modifications to portions of the fitness
<br />trail and the addition of new fitness
<br />stations trail and exercise equipment.
<br />
<br />Miami-Dade County Parks,
<br />Recreation & Open Space (PROS)
<br />Debbie Curtin Interactive Park -
<br />Under Miller Legg’s Continuing Services
<br />Contract with PROS, Miller Legg was
<br />responsible for development of the
<br />conceptual rendering plans for this
<br />exciting interactive park. Features of the
<br />interactive components include musical
<br />instruments such as a goblet drum, and
<br />vivo metallophone, kettle drum,
<br />grandioso chimes, kundu drum, animato
<br />metallophone, bongo, hourglass and ring-
<br />a-bell panels, textured features such as
<br />marble and tracing panels, as well as
<br />climbers including a custom rope
<br />climber, stone block climb, custom hill
<br />net, a bobble rider single and double and
<br />a global motion freestanding play
<br />structure. The conceptual plans were
<br />presented to the County. The firm was
<br />also responsible for developing
<br />construction documents.

<br />City of Coral Gables War Memorial
<br />Youth Center Landscape &
<br />Engineering - This City of Coral
<br />Gables 7-acre War Memorial Youth
<br />Center in Miami Dade County
<br />represents a living memorial to Coral
<br />Gables World War II veterans. The
<br />project includes improvements to multi-
<br />purpose athletic fields. Miller Legg was
<br />responsible for the landscape
<br />architecture, civil engineering design and
<br />permitting of the improvement program.
<br />Specific improvements included athletic
<br />field drainage, re-sodding with Bermuda
<br />"Celebration" turf and irrigation design.
<br />The irrigation system ties into a non-
<br />potable well system. Drainage
<br />improvements consist of subsurface field
<br />improvements that integrate with the
<br />existing exfiltration and subsurface
<br />drainage systems. Additional services
<br />provided include: design development,
<br />final construction documents, and
<br />construction administration. Miller Legg
<br />collaborated with MC Harry Associates
<br />on this project.

<br />City of Pembroke Pines D/B Taft
<br />Street Improvements - Miller Legg
<br />was on the RJ Behar team for this Taft
<br />Street Design Build project for the City
<br />of Pembroke Pines. The firm's scope of
<br />services was landscape architectural
<br />design and post design services and
<br />included the development of design and
<br />contract documents including plans and
<br />specifications. Support during the
<br />construction phase with Requests for
<br />Information and contractor submittals
<br />was also provided.

<br />City of Miami Museum Park
<br />Baywalk Phase 3 - Miller Legg
<br />provided landscape architecture, civil
<br />engineering, lighting/electrical
<br />engineering, surveying, permitting and
<br />limited construction administration
<br />services for the Miami Baywalk Phase 3
<br />Project. Permitting for project
<br />improvements was provided through the
<br />City of Miami, Miami-Dade County and
<br />South Florida Water Management
<br />District. Underground utility designation
<br />for electric and drainage utilities was
<br />performed.The project is a 1/4 mile
<br />pedestrian-oriented urban waterfront
<br />park and promenade on Biscayne Bay,
<br />located adjacent to the east coast
<br />greenway. It provides a unique open
<br />space that links the American Airlines
<br />Arena, Biscayne Boulevard, and Museum
<br />Park. The Baywalk design includes
<br />custom native stone benches, extensive
<br />paver pedestrian spaces, salt-tolerant
<br />tropical plantings, as well as themed
<br />lighting and site amenities. Due to
<br />historic maritime activities in the project
<br />area, soil conditions were addressed
<br />through the design of unique drainage
<br />facilities that minimized potential
<br />groundwater impacts. The Baywalk
<br />design solution also improved visibility
<br />and lighting in the area to discourage
<br />vagrancy issues that existed. The planting
<br />design not only enhanced aesthetics, but
<br />also buffered unsightly adjacent parking
<br />and utility areas and minimized exposed
<br />surfaces that had been subject to graffiti.
<br />This project was performed under our
<br />Miscellaneous Landscape Architectural
<br />Services contract.
<br />
<br />Greater Boca Raton Beach and
<br />Parks District Ocean Breeze
<br />Master Plan - Miller Legg was retained
<br />by the Greater Boca Raton Beach and
<br />Parks District (GBRBPD) to prepare a
<br />Master Plan for Ocean Breeze Park, site
<br />of the former Boca Teeca Country Club
<br />and Golf Course. The Master Plan will
<br />reflect the District's desire to provide a
<br />diverse recreational amenity at this 212-
<br />acre property for City residents while
<br />considering the specific desires and
<br />concerns of the adjacent residential
<br />communities. The Plan will address
<br />Ocean Breeze's future facilities, uses,
<br />programs, operation, maintenance and
<br />funding and recommend Park
<br />modifications, improvements,
<br />enhancements and additional uses.
<br />Recreational elements may include
<br />passive park facilities (trails, walking
<br />paths, open fields/areas), golf
<br />course/facilities, active park uses
<br />(playgrounds, tennis courts, sport courts,
<br />aquatics), community center/facilities and
<br />potential revenue-generating
<br />opportunities.
