The existing conditions provided a dense canopy, and allowed the design team to directly <br />benefit on its existing shade, while being cognizant of the critical root zone areas. <br />This playground concept specifically focused on highlighting the constant change of play <br />experiences through a continual adaptation and amazement of the environment that reflect <br />the metamorphosis of a butterfly. As one meanders throughout the existing tree canopy, they <br />unfold into several rooms that each emphasize different types of activities, reinforcing that as <br />one grows and develops different opportunities become available through play and learning. <br />The understory planting consists of a butterfly garden coupled with a butterfly 'cove' where <br />children can gather in an outdoor -classroom environment. <br />,,;� The playground equipment is a combination of both direct, and indirect references to the <br />$ 33,977.44 (Designs and Construction stages of a butterfly's life including, but not limited to: <br />Administration) Butterfly plaza with artistic stamped concrete; <br />• Butterfly climbers; <br />$ 350000.00 (Estimated) <br />� `''" Butterfly acoustic play; and <br />$ 3 <br />Caterpillar climbers made from recycle Australian Pine wood, and more. <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach I RFQ #22-06-01 1 Continuing Services for Landscape Architectural Services CCNA 25 <br />
