The plan establishes a clear set
Tel: 954.480.4483 of priorities and objectives that aid in the management, maintenance, and future planting of
dmiller@deerfield-beach.com trees and groundcovers throughout the City by providing a sustainable and strategic framework.
f' rndect 0"Ac
2017-2020
(;S i'iovid(;(1
Landscape Architecture
Arboricultural Services
$ 39,975.00
$ Not Applicable
i
CGA's primary contribution to the planting guidelines was the development of an implementable
'planting template' that advances the recommendations in the arterial roadways guidelines to
generate standards that guide the roll-out of this plan. CGA conducted a thorough review of
the existing conditions, tree inventory and currently designed plans for the arterial roadways
throughout the city and prepared a standard guideline providing diagrams, samples of design
plans with a hierarchy of planting, and before and after graphics, to effectively communicate
the intent of the standards. The standards not only addressed planting but also decorative
paving at crosswalks and medians. Finally, the 'Planting recommendations' establishes a
street -tree prioritization plan to guide future streetscape projects, examines and establishes a
metric of measurement to define "success" in future -planned City projects, and it establishes
parameters to facilitate the cost estimating and planning for these projects during the budget
cycles and design phases of each project.
City of Sunny Isles Beach I RFQ #22-06-01 1 Continuing Services for Landscape Architectural Services CCNA 27
