" •-s= o ' <br />'fr`. ` Y t F L O" . � yv: <br />irk QF 511A h� <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />FROM: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />DATE: July 21, 2022 <br />RE: Approval of Change Order Nos. 2 and 3 with The Stout Grout for the Golder <br />Shores Utility Undergrounding Project <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />Change Order No. 2 increases the overall contract amount by $803,000.00 for the installation of <br />conduits and connections to private meter cabinets on residences within Golden Shores to facilitate <br />final hook up of underground electrical services. <br />The original contract documents only included installation of underground electrical facilities to private <br />property lines or ROW as the case may be. This change provides for additional installation of conduil <br />from the PL/ROW into the individual electrical meter cabinet currently installed to serve the overheac <br />electrical lines. At bidding FPL had not completed the final design for the private services. It i� <br />prudent and efficient use of time and resources to install the service conduits during the installation of <br />the main electrical lines minimizing disruption to residential properties and the neighborhood as a <br />whole. <br />Change Order No. 3 increases the overall contract amount by $152,735.63 for the installation of <br />remaining decorative streetlighting including poles, luminaries, foundations, and electrical equipment. <br />Providing as built documentation for the final streetlighting installation and miscellaneous utility <br />conduit installation which may be required. <br />The original contractor for the utility undergrounding and decorative streetlighting project ROHI <br />Global was recently terminated for convenience as a fiscal management procedure due to the delays <br />Item Number: 10.Q <br />253 <br />
