who are to furnish materials or equipment fabricated to a special design. The receipt of such list shall <br />not require the CITY to investigate the qualifications of proposed subcontractors or suppliers, nor <br />shall it waive the right of the CITY later to object to or reject any proposed subcontractor or supplier, <br />and is furnished by CONTRACTOR to CITY for informational purposes only. Subject to the rights <br />of the CITY to purchase supplies and materials in furtherance of the sales tax program as described <br />in Article 6.16 hereof, CONTRACTOR shall have authority in awarding subcontractors and purchase <br />orders. <br />6.1.3 Extent of Responsibilit: CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the architecture, <br />engineering, construction and completion of the Project. <br />6.2 Guaranteed Maximum Price. <br />6.2.1 The Guaranteed Maximum Price is also subject to further reduction. by an amount <br />calculated by multiplying the applicable Florida sales tax rate times the amount of material and <br />supplies purchased by the CITY under the sales tax program described in Article 6.16 hereof. The <br />Guaranteed Maximum Price may be modified only as herein provided including possible changes as <br />a result of Extra Work as may be documented in a City Commission approved Change Order[s]. <br />6.2.2 The Guaranteed Maximum Price shall include in the Cost of Work only those taxes <br />which are enacted at the time the Guaranteed Maximum Price is established. <br />6.2.3 The Guaranteed Maximum Price shall include all direct and indirect costs associated <br />with the design and construction phases of the Project, including but not limited to, procurement of <br />materials and equipment, labor, overhead, profits, contingency, permits, insurance, performance and <br />payment bonds, utilities, fees, and taxes. <br />6.3 Administration. <br />6.3.1 The CONTRACTOR shall schedule and conduct weekly meetings at which the CITY <br />and CONTRACTOR, and appropriate Subcontractors can discuss the status of the Work. The <br />CONTRACTOR shall prepare and promptly distribute meeting minutes. <br />6.3.2 The CONTRACTOR shall provide monthly written reports to the CITY and <br />designated consultants on the progress of the entire Work. <br />6.3.3 The CONTRACTOR may develop a system of cost control for the Work, including <br />regular monitoring of actual costs for activities in progress and estimates for uncompleted tasks and <br />proposed changes. <br />6.4 Design Responsibilities. <br />6.4.1 CONTRACTOR shall prepare preliminary design documents consisting of <br />preliminary drawings, specifications and other documents to fix and describe the size, quality, <br />quantity and characters of the Work, its architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems <br />and the materials and other elements of the Work. <br />
