B &A <br />modified the existing one -story building to create a gateway into <br />Headquarters Facility the new space. The connection between the two structures is a <br />Miami, Florida lushly landscaped courtyard covered with a translucent canopy, <br />Client: Miami -Dade Expressway Authority providing uninterrupted operation of the existing building during <br />construction. <br />Award of Excellence, Society of American The highly visible curved roof adds to the expressive structure and <br />Registered Architects. California, 2005 provides the much needed "signature" element requested by <br />the client. This building has been designed to optimize the views <br />Design Award, Society for Registered for the client while reducing the heat load on the building.
