Eighteen of those years have been spent specifically in <br />the public involvement field concentrating on transportation and infrastructure projects. B &A <br />has provided public involvement services to governmental agencies such as the MiomFDade <br />Expressway Authority (MDX), the Honda Department of Transportation. MiamkDade Transit <br />Agency and Miami -Dade Water and Sewer Department. Ms. Garcia oversees all public <br />outreach activities for planning and design projects for MDX including educational and <br />informational efforts dealing with the implementation of Open Road Toning in the MDX System. <br />She has been an integral part of the visioning process used to perform the two updates to the <br />MDX Long Range Master Transportation Plan and has delivered a successful program of public <br />outreach for planning and design projects. Ms. Garcia has established the guidelines for public <br />involvement followed by MDX designed after State requirements but tailored to the rapid <br />pace and fast delivery of projects by MDX. She was Principal -in- Charge of FOOT District Su, <br />Distric"cle Public Involvement Contract which includes public involvement services for over <br />100 planning or design projects since the onset of the contract in 2006. Ms. Garcia is also the <br />Principakin- Charge of public involvement services for the Miami -Dade Transit MIC Ecrfington <br />Heights Connector and the Reconstruction of SR 9 for FDOT District 4. Ms. Garcia directs all <br />community and public outreach programs for public as well as private clients. She also acts as <br />a liaison between B&A and Miami -Dade County and its municipalities in regulatory, permitting <br />and public affairs matters. <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />Pinecrest Community Center Master Plan, Miaml -bode County, Florida - Public Involvement <br />Director. B &A was responsible for the logistics of community forums as well as the notification <br />of property and business owners within the project area. The team designed all the written <br />communications to the public. <br />Tampa Channelside Master Plan, Hillsborough County, Florida - Public Involvement Director. <br />B &A prepared the written communications to the public. including drafting and designing all <br />collateral. The B&A team managed the logistics for the public open house, and created the <br />analysis report of the public opinion and preference on the Master Plan. <br />South Dade Neighborhood Development Concept Plans ("The Moss Plan ") - Project Director. <br />Strategic planning study for Miami -Dade County's Office of Community Development, won <br />Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association Award of Merit. Addresses redevelopment <br />of 14 neighborhoods in South Dade damaged as result of Hurricane Andrew. working closely <br />with County staff, successfully directed intense public participation campaign culminating in fifty <br />meetings with neighborhood residents and community-based as well as religious organizations. <br />The Moss Plan pointed informational efforts in the right direction while transferring ownership of <br />the plan to the communities involved. <br />Pump Station Improvement Program - Directed the Development Community Coordination <br />office within the Miami -Dade water & Sewer Department Pump Station Improvement Program. <br />This was used to reach out to inform builders, developers, realtors, lending institutions and <br />potential investors on how WASD's improvement program would affect them. Focused on <br />conflict resolution and designed a work schedule that strived to satisfy the needs of all involved. <br />Broward County Office of Environmental Services Neighborhood Improvement Project - Public <br />Involvement Project Manager. Responsible for the participation of four unincorporated Broward <br />County neighborhoods - Franklin Park, Washington Park, St. George West and St. George East. <br />Worked closely with the Design and Construction Team to effectively convey information to <br />general public and special interest groups. <br />Permitting Guidance / Assistance - Recognized for her work with local government particularly <br />as it relates to building and zoning matters.
