® William R Mohler, III, CA <br />• <br />MILLERl`�EGG <br />Biologist <br />Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Mohler is experienced in <br />environmental document preparation, <br />ecological monitoring and assessment, <br />compliance monitoring, and geographic <br />information systems (GIS). He has a <br />comprehensive knowledge of Florida <br />floral and faunal communities and their <br />interactions. In addition, his training and <br />practical experience includes lab and field <br />experimentation, biological, water and <br />soil sample collection and monitoring, <br />taxonomy, plant physiology, wildlife <br />catch and release, avifauna) surveys, <br />experimental design and implementation, <br />data management, and statistical and <br />numerical analysis. <br />Mr. Mohler has exceptional field <br />operations skills including preparing and <br />calibrating field equipment and <br />engineering specialized daa collection <br />field solutions. In addition, he has over <br />IS years of small boat and airboat <br />piloting experience, and is a skilled <br />engine mechanic. Mr. Mohler has <br />excellent navigation skills and has <br />personally piloted watercraft to over 300 <br />tree islands in the Everglades. He has <br />also led field crews into dangerous <br />terrain and navigated throughout the <br />Everglades system using GPS. <br />He is skilled in using various types of <br />equipment and software including ESRI <br />Arc GIS Trimble Arc pad, Li -Cor, TREC, <br />SPOT, GPS, LIDAR, Dynamax TDP Sap <br />Flow systems, Decagon ProCheck soil <br />moisture probes, HOBO and CR1000 <br />environmental loggers, Photovoltaic cells. <br />and Morningstar Solar power equipment, <br />along with all associated off - loading <br />programs. <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />Pembroke Pines City Center - This <br />project consisted of approximately 100 <br />acre mixed use project that was the last <br />phase of a 200 acre total development <br />that also included multi - family and <br />commercial land use components in <br />Pembroke Pines. The City Center <br />project consisted of design for a <br />commercial and town center concept <br />with adjacent multi - family residential <br />components. Unique site design <br />components included incorporation of a <br />city park, linear 200' wide FP &L <br />easement that split the property, an <br />adjacent fuel pipeline easement, as well <br />as extensive accommodation for <br />stormwater management systems and <br />wetlands mitigation areas. Services <br />included environmental resource <br />Permitting; mitigation design, mitigation <br />construction, maintenance observation, <br />remedial plan development, mitigation <br />monitoring and surveying. <br />City of Pembroke Pines West Pines <br />Soccer Park - A 56-acre active and <br />passive municipal park located at 196th <br />Avenue and Pines Boulevard in the City <br />of Pembroke Pines. This unique park's <br />features includes four soccer fields and <br />one football facility as well as providing <br />other active park elements with passive <br />park facilities such as a boardwalk and 21 <br />acres of wetlands mitigation area. <br />Services provided by Miller Legg include <br />civil engineering, surveying, wetlands <br />mitigation planning, assistance with grant <br />writing, and mitigation construction <br />observation. Permitting was coordinated <br />with US Army Corps of Engineers, <br />Broward County and South Florida <br />Water Management District Miller Legg <br />worked in concert with several other <br />consultants to achieve this project <br />City of Fort Lauderdale Mills Pond <br />Park Environmental Construction <br />Observation - The City of Fort <br />Lauderdale hired Miller Legg to provide <br />construction observation in the highly <br />environmentally sensitive area at Mills <br />Pond Park Miller Legg is ensuring <br />adherence to the specifications and <br />permit criteria and prevent accidental <br />damage to protected vegetation and <br />resources that are present on -site. <br />Construction of this off -site mitigation <br />was achieved through a combination of <br />nuisance and exotic vegetation removal <br />
