<br />ARCOS 1 Fiber Optic Cable Project, Sunny Isles Beach, FL — Project engineer for design
<br />and permitting sketches and documents for this project, which brings an offshore cable system
<br />into the United States from the Caribbean and South America at Sunny Isles Beach. In order
<br />to bring the cables to shore, six offshore conduits were designed from west of the coastal
<br />construction control line (CCCL) to approximately 2,000 feet offshore. Two sub - aqueous
<br />crossings, one across the Intracoastal Waterway and one across the Oleta River, were
<br />designed. A key part of the design is to incorporate construction techniques, and address
<br />erosion and turbidity control for state DEP ERP permitting.
<br />Continuing Consulting Services, Palm Beach, FL — Performed structural evaluations and
<br />made repair recommendations for several existing lift stations under the jurisdiction of the Town
<br />of Palm Beach.
<br />Veteran's Memorial Foundation - Boynton Beach, FL, Boynton Beach, FL — Served as
<br />lead structural engineer for the City of Boynton Beach on a continuing services contract to
<br />assist the City in evaluating the overturning stability of a monument selected by the Veterans
<br />of America. The initial proposed design did not work and Kimley -Horn collaborated with the
<br />monument designer and the City to develop an alternate that would be code compliant and
<br />acceptable to the Veterans.
<br />Sugar Sand Park Design, Boca Raton, FL — Project engineer for the master plan update
<br />and overall project coordination for Phase IV of Sugar Sand Park. The entire Sugar Sand
<br />Park consists of 132 acres of passive and active recreation facilities, including a community
<br />center with a theatre and science center, field house, baseball/softball fields, in -line hockey
<br />rink, science playground, and picnic pavilions. Kimley -Horn assisted the Greater Boca Raton
<br />Beach and Park District with the site planning, civil design, landscape design, environmental
<br />permitting, and installation of the carousel as part of the overall development of Phase 4 of the
<br />park. Opened in November 2005, the carousel had more than 40,000 riders its first month of
<br />operation. Our ongoing services for Sugar Sand Park include the design of numerous pavilion
<br />facilities, restrooms, and an interactive fountain, as well as modifications to their guard house
<br />and entryway for the development of the final phase of the park.
<br />Boy Scout Hut Neighborhood Park, Delray Beach, FL — Project engineer on the Kimley -
<br />Horn team who completed schematic design services for improvements to the Boy Scout
<br />Hut Park in Delray Beach. Improvements included upgrades to the existing parking, drainage
<br />improvements, aesthetic improvements to the Boy Scout Hut, addition of new restrooms, a
<br />fitness trail, a playground, a decorative perimeter fence, and significant landscaping. Additional
<br />services included public outreach meetings, design, and bid phase assistance.
<br />Miscellaneous Structures for Parks and Recreation Projects, Jupiter, FL — Provided
<br />structural engineering design and quality assurance services for structural elements (dugouts,
<br />concession stands, enclosures, etc.) for several park projects for the Town of Jupiter.
<br />Lakefront Park Master Plan and Redevelopment Plans, Kissimmee Community
<br />Redevelopment Agency (CRA), Kissimmee, FL — Kimley -Horn teamed with Glatting Jackson
<br />and finalizing the construction plans for the redevelopment of this city-owned waterfront park
<br />on Lake Tohopekaliga. The team prepared the masterplan for this redevelopment in 2008
