Relevant Experience, cont. Angelina FCtll"Child, P.E., LEED AP
and construction of the proposed improvements is expected to begin in the spring of 2009. Angelina has been the lead engineer for
various structural site improvements including four low -level boardwalk crossings, a timber ADA ramp, a multi- tiered waterfront plaza,
approximately 300 linear feet of concrete bulkhead replacement and a host of retaining walls and miscellaneous foundations. Kimley -
Horn was recently authorized to proceed with the next phase that includes the replacement of the Ruby pier with a new fixed viewing
platform and canoe launch.
Boca Beach Club Hotel, Boca Raton, FL — Kimley -Horn provided roadway and retaining wall design for the redevelopment of
the Boca Beach Club Hotel property in Boca Raton as part of a large consultant team. Kimley -Horn was responsible for designing
approximately 1,200 feet of elevated 'spine" entry road from the main entrance to second and third level arrival plazas and parking
garage entrances for the refurbished hotel and a new condominium building. The spine road is to be constructed in close proximity to
an existing bulkhead that separates the upland development from the Boca Inlet. The design also included a pedestrian access tunnel
under the elevated roadway from a boat landing on the Boca Inlet to the hotel and an ADA ramp to the new condominium building.
Other responsibilities included coordination with the building architects and structural engineers, the site civil engineer, the landscape
architect, and the bulkhead designer to ensure compatibility of designs.
CR 466A Widening and Reconstruction from Sumter/Lake County Line to US 27, Lake County, FL — Structural engineer
responsible for the signal pole design for the widening of CR 466 from two to four lanes from the Sumter /Lake County line east to
Lake Griffin Road, just east of US 27/441 in the Town of Lady Lake. The project is approximately 2.1 miles in length. In addition to the
widening, this project included design of drainage improvements, pedestrian features, maintenance of traffic, utility relocations, signals,
and signing/pavement markings.
Dona Bay Watershed Environmental Restoration, Sarasota County, FL — Served as structural engineer responsible for the design
of the water control structure associated with this project. The structure included an 8 barrel culvert with 8 foot by 8 foot operable
gates, as well as a sheetpile weir wall. The culvert and gate structure was part of a bridged access road connecting both sides of the
reservoir, and it included a pedestrian walkway for maintenance and gate operation access. The Dona Bay Watershed Environmental
Restoration project involves the design work to implement the results of the Dona Bay Watershed Management Plan. Kimley -Horn
designed a 180 -acre wetland restoration area, stormwater conveyance facilities from Cow Pen Slough to the Venice Minerals site,
and a major water control structure. In addition, Kimley- Horn's engineers and technicians developed several proprietary GIS tools
specifically designed to automate the stormwater modeling process and generate the specific GIS deliverables required by Sarasota
County, including easement acquisition.
Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Continuing Minor Civil Engineering (Multiple Projects), Boca Raton, FL — Serving as project
manager and civil/structural engineer for FAU's Boca Raton campus providing structural reviews and repairs. Projects include: the
structural framing under the Observatory (Building 43), the elevated walkways on the Social Sciences Building (Building 44), and the
various housing buildings at the Student Village Apartments. The specific purpose of these assignments was to identify and map the
extent of the deterioration, and prepare appropriate repair recommendations, including plans and specifications. Kimley -Horn provided
investigative, design, and bid services. These repairs are currently under construction and Kimley -Horn is providing field construction
support services. As the project manager, conducted on -site hands -on review, report, and plan preparation oversight; quality control;
and coordinating ongoing construction phase services.
Juan Ponce de Leon Landing Park, Melbourne Beach, FL — Served as structural engineer. Kimley -Horn has worked with
Brevard County Parks and Recreation since 2000. Ponce Landing Park is one of five parks that we designed and permitted. Our
work consisted of all site civil design and permitting, including coastal construction control line permitting; site plan approval; Florida
Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) water, sewer, and stormwater permitting; and Florida Department of Transportation
permitting. Environmental services included detailed evaluations of the beach and dune system, detailed coordination on lighting
impacts, extensive coordination for dune restoration with the State and with Brevard County Natural Resources Management Office,
and identification of appropriate vegetation to restore areas impacted by pedestrian paths along the dune. Kimley -Horn prepared all
engineering drawings for construction, including landscape, utilities, parking, pavilions, restrooms, and dune crossovers.
Skypass Bridge, Port of Palm Beach, Riviera Beach, FL — Structural engineer for design of a 1,900 -foot, four -lane bridge over
US 1. Kimley- Horn's fast -track design of roadway approaches and the bridge, which rises to 69 feet, allowed for the elevation of US
1 to improve port operations. The bridge was constructed in two sections to maintain existing traffic. Design and contract plans were
produced in less than nine months.
