M
A
g
0
10
Architectural, Landscape Architectural,
Engineering and Land Surveying Firms Only (CCNA)
A 1 CorridorAnlet Village Concept Master Plan,
Jupiter, FL
Kimley -Horn recently worked with the Town of Jupiter
CRA to develop concept designs for a bike /pedestrian/
roadway corridor through the Inlet Village district in the
Town of Jupiter. This master plan will help to guide the
development of sidewalks, bike paths, streetscaping,
utility design, and stormwater design through the Village.
A main focus of the plan was to create a pedestrian and
bicycle friendly corridor that meets both technical
roadway design criteria and retains the character of the
Inlet Village. As a part of the planning effort, Kimley -Horn
prepared site plans, vignettes, renderings, and
improvement alternatives. These concepts were developed by meeting with Town staff, holding public meetings with resident
stakeholders, and consulting with several permitting agencies to determine implementability of the plan. Kimley -Horn also
developed an opinion of probable construction cost for the project. The plan was ultimately presented to the CRA board and is now
moving into subsequent planning and design stages.
Miller Park, Delray Beach, FL
Kimley -Horn developed the master plan and provided detailed
design and construction phase services for the renovation of
this existing 24 -acre park in Delray Beach. Miller Park is the
City's primary baseball complex and is home to year -round
baseball schools. This 55.5- million renovation includes the
construction of three new buildings, four lighted baseball
fields, batting cages, public parking, and the City's first
Miracle League baseball facility. Portions of the park facility
lay over an old landfill, which created challenging foundation
and grading requirements. The park is vital to the City youth
baseball program and, as such, extensive coordination was
performed to ensure that user needs were addressed.
RM 14 -0VW
Oy26 ;.14-0Stymy Isles 5czv. The entire 132 -acre park consists of
passive and active recreation facilities, including a community
center with a theatre and science center, field house, baseball/
softball fields, in -line hockey rink, science playground, and
picnic pavilions. Kimley -Horn assisted the Greater Boca Raton
Beach and Park District with the site planning, civil design,
landscape design, environmental permitting, and installation of
a historic carousel as part of the overall development of Phase
4 of the park. When it opened in November 2005, the carousel
had 40,000 riders its first month of operation. Our ongoing
services for Sugar Sand Park include the design of numerous
pavilion facilities, restrooms, and an interactive fountain, as well
as modifications to their entryway for the development of the
final phase of the park.
Kimley> »Horn
