He has designed highways, interchanges, intersections,(both urban and rural), <br />prepared pavement designs, transportation studies, hydrologic - hydraulic (H -H) and scour studies, utility relocations, etc. <br />He recently managed a general engineering service contract for the South Florida Water Management District. <br />Mr. Vazquez has worked in several states; New York, Virginia, Arkansas, Idaho and Pennsylvania, for the Federal <br />Highway Administration. He worked in construction projects, monitoring and supervising construction daily operations like <br />the rehabilitation of George Washington Memorial Highway in Mt. Vernon, D.C., and the Construction of a 10 -mile St. Joe <br />River Road, from Calder to Avery, Idaho. In the Federal Aid assignments he was requested to review the Project <br />Development and Environmental study documents, and construction operations for several interstate projects. In addition <br />he was assigned to several statewide final inspections of railway crossings, and others. <br />Mr. Vazquez is a Professional Hydrologist (PH) and a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) specializing in <br />water supply and waste water. For the six year in a row, Mr. Vazquez is in the 'Who's Who book of Environmental <br />Engineering, 2013'. He is currently the past president of the Association of Engineers and land Surveyors of Puerto Rico, <br />Florida Chapter. <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />Seaboard Marine Cargo Terminal Redevelopment Phase III, Port of Miami, Florida <br />Principal in Charge. He provided quality control and project management services for drainage design of the Seaboard <br />terminal at the Port of Miami redevelopment. He is also the Engineer of Record for modifications and injection well <br />permitting. <br />North County Neighborhood Improvement Project — Broward County, Florida <br />Engineer of Record for the drainage design. He supervised, managed and provided quality control reviews for the drainage <br />design of Broward County's North County Neighborhood Improvement Project. <br />Historic Miramar Drainage System Evaluation - City of Miramar, Florida <br />Project Manager for re- evaluation of the City's Canal System and evaluation of the neighborhood drainage systems. <br />Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport Stormwater Master Plan, Florida <br />Project Manager who prepared the Stormwater Drainage Master Plan, the stormwater management master plan phase I, <br />AdICPR computer program modeling, and permitting with South Florida Water Management District and Broward County <br />Department of Natural Resource Protection. He developed a master procedure manual for preparing NPDES permits for <br />runoff associated from construction activities. This manual includes procedures for preparing permit applications and <br />developing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans. Design consultants responsible for the design of the airport expansion <br />plan improvements will use this manual.
