A trusted partner
to our clients, we draw together teams of Planners,
Architects, Engineers, Landscape Architects, Interior
Designers, Environmental Specialists, Economists
and Scientists, all within AECOM and dedicated to
finding the most innovative and appropriate solutions
improving the quality of life of a community's
citizenry.
The AECOM team is experienced in leading multi-
disciplinary teams for our projects and enjoys the
collaborative and dynamic environment of such
work. To successfully execute complex projects with
numerous stakeholders, technical complexities and
economic challenges, we have developed a proven
approach that consistently yields successful results
Whether the project is the detail design of an urban
streetscape, the creation of a new land development
code, or the design of a pumping station, the AECOM
team can accomplish the task.
The AECOM proposed team offers combined
resources and experts in Planning / Urban Design,
Drainage/ Stormwater Engineering, Landscape
Architecture, Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering
& Analysis, Environmental Services, Infrastructure
improvements, CEI Inspection Services.
We will work within the framework of the City of Sunny
Isles Beach's protocols and policies to make sure
projects are completed properly. Beginning with the
City's request for assistance with a project or task,
we will coordinate a project review session to reach
a clear understanding of the expectations of the
assignment.
From the wide variety of project types that may be
necessary for this contract, we will tailor a project
approach to meet the requirements of any work order.
Generally, the tasks that will likely be encountered
on this project fall into either a planning or an
engineering discipline. The following two approaches
will be customized to meet the needs of the city.
Architecture /Landscape Architecture
Each project assignment under this contract will have
unique requirements of functional design, budget,
site opportunities and constraints, architectural
context, user needs, and community and stakeholder
expectations. Each assignment will be designed
and implemented in accordance with not just the
landscape, tree protection, and other regulatory and
environmental requirements of the City, County, and
applicable state and federal agencies, but with a best
practice approach that emphasizes cost - effective
design, ease of constructability and maintenance, and
environmental sustainability.
Appropriate and thoughtful utilization of the latest
information on trends in the design and construction
industry are all key elements of this approach. We
recognize that each project is unique; we do not
believe in or provide any boilerplate solutions.
Further, we recognize that City staff are key players
of the team in any City project, and we look forward to
an effective and rewarding collaboration with your in-
house managers and design professionals. Finally, we
will approach each assignment with a keen interest
in the community's expressed desires for the project.
We will work with local Stakeholders and City staff to
effectively solicit, respond to, and incorporate public
input, as appropriate for each type of project.
City of Sunny Isles Beach staff can attest to the
responsive service they've received from AECOM on
various projects over the past 12 years. The process
we use to handle the City's tasks include the following
steps:
Task 1: Project Initiation — Scoping Meeting
Upon notification to proceed, the Project Director
and /or Project Manager will meet with the City staff
to review the proposed scope of work, project design
objectives, schedule and budget requirements,
and any other special requirements (such as grant
funding conditions). We will review available site
and background data received, as appropriate to the
project, in advance of the meeting, and will identify
with staff any additional information necessary for
