Ext. 3386
Email: mpitiriciu @miamigardens - fl.gov
June 2009 / 2014
$1,632,000.00
$32,000.00
The scope of services included preparation of resurfacing plans,
sidewalk plans, calculations for asphalt resurfacing, and shallow
borings.
The resurfacing and ADA walk improvements included approximately 24,000 linear feet of road
throughout the city in three neighborhoods. The neighborhoods consist of a mixture of single and
multi - family residential dwellings. Significant amounts of the existing roadway infrastructure within
these neighborhoods did not meet current ADA requirements, which warranted attention in order to
conform to current standards. In order to address the infrastructure needs. the City of Miami
Gardens selected Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. to analyze the roadway corridors within the
project areas to determine necessary resurfacing and ADA improvements. Craven Thompson
prepared plans for the resurfacing of all roads after having borings prepared to analyze the existing
roadway conditions. Concurrently, the area was reviewed for sidewalk and ADA improvements to
ensure compliance with ADA standards. The project involved coordination with FDOT for LAP funding
and design criteria, and the development of construction drawings and specifications.
CRAVEN THOMPSON & ASSOCIATES, INC. 1 3563 NW 53ra STREET.
