THE CITY CLERK’S OFFICE <br />MAY BE CONTACTED BY PHONE AT (305) 792-1703 OR VIA EMAIL AT <br />MBetancur@sibfl.net. <br /> <br />2.35 STATUTORY NOTICES RELATING TO UNAUTHORIZED EMPLOYMENT AND SUBCONTRACTS. <br />2.35.1 The State of Florida considers the employment by any City of unauthorized aliens a violation of <br />Section 274A(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. If the Contractor knowingly employs unauthorized <br />aliens, such violation shall be cause for unilateral cancellation of the Contract. The Contractor shall be <br />responsible for including this provision in all subcontracts issued as a result of the Contract. <br /> <br />2.35.2 Pursuant to Sections 287.133 and 287.134, F.S., the following restrictions apply to persons placed on <br />the convicted vendor list or the discriminatory vendor list: <br /> <br />i. Public Entity Crime. A person or an affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor <br />list following a conviction for public entity crime may not submit a bid on a contract to <br />provide any goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with <br />a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not <br />submit bids on leases of real property to a public entity, may not be awarded or perform <br />work as a Contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with any <br />public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity in excess of the <br />threshold amount provided in Section 287.017, Florida Statutes, for CATEGORY TWO for <br />a period of thirty-six (36) months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendors <br />list. <br />ii. Discriminatory Vendors. An entity or affiliate who has been placed on the discriminatory <br />vendor list may not submit a bid, proposal, or reply on a contract to provide any goods or <br />services to a public entity; may not submit a bid, proposal, or reply on a contract with a <br />public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work; may not <br />submit bids, proposals, or replies on leases of real property to a public entity; may not be <br />awarded or perform work as a Contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a <br />contract with any public entity; and may not transact business with any public entity. <br />iii. Antitrust Violator Vendors. A person or affiliate who has been placed on the antitrust <br />violator vendor list following a conviction or being held civilly liable for an antitrust <br />violation may not submit a bid, Proposal, or reply on any contract to provide any good or <br />services to a public entity, may not submit a bid, Proposal, or reply on any contract with <br />a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work; may not <br />submit a bid, Proposal, or reply on leases of real property to a public entity; may not be <br />awarded or perform work as a Contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a <br />contract with a public entity; and my not transact new business with a public entity, <br />pursuant to s. 287.137, F.S.
