Contractor shall provide at its own expense all parts, tools and space required to <br />complete repairs. <br />4.0 REPAIRS BY THE PURCHASER (IN-HOUSE WARRANTY) <br />The Contractor may authorize a purchaser’s service department to perform warranty <br />service. The Contractor is responsible for monitoring that the agency receives correct <br />replacement parts, return shipping and proper labor reimbursements in a timely manner. <br />Purchasers that perform in-house warranty are responsible for completing repairs in a <br />timely manner in accordance with the course of action referenced in 5.2.0. Contractor <br />shall provide on-line or paper systems including necessary forms to carry out the <br />provisions of all in-house warranty. <br />Monthly (or at a period to be mutually agreed upon) reports of all repairs covered by this <br />warranty shall be submitted by the purchaser to the contractor for reimbursement of <br />parts and labor. <br />If the purchaser performs warranty repairs in-house, it shall follow the manufacturer’s <br />service and maintenance recommendations as provided by requirements in Part 1, <br />Section 1.22, Service and Maintenance Manuals. <br />4.1 Parts <br />Parts supply for in-house warranty repairs shall be considered as a part of the course of <br />action referenced in 5.2.0. If purchaser uses their in-stock parts or purchases parts for <br />in-house warranty they shall be reimbursed at cost plus 2 percent for the failed parts <br />and related parts/fluids that must be replaced as a result of the failure and repair. The <br />purchaser shall provide parts invoices when requesting reimbursement. <br />Contractor may supply parts at no cost directly to purchaser for in-house warranty. In <br />each case, parts shall be shipped prepaid, overnight, and no later than the next <br />business day from receipt of the parts request. <br />Contractor may supply parts to purchaser for in-house warranty by way of in-stock <br />consignment parts at the purchaser’s location when applicable. In this case <br />consignment parts stock levels shall be adjusted with no cost to the purchaser. <br />Contractor may request that failed parts covered by warranty are returned to a specified <br />location or the manufacturing plant. The total cost for this action shall be paid by the <br />Contractor. Parts should be returned in accordance with contractor's instructions. <br />4.2 Labor <br />The purchaser shall be reimbursed by Contractor for labor. The amount shall be <br />determined by multiplying the number of man-hours actually required to correct the <br />defect by the purchaser’s current per hour, master mechanic, straight wage rate, plus <br />32 percent, plus the cost of towing in the vehicle if such action was necessary and if the <br />vehicle was in the normal service area.
