27 <br />identify the registered professional engineer who approved the data, identify the limits of <br />the data, maintain the tables, data, and charts reviewed by the engineer, maintain other <br />project variables and site conditions reviewed by the registered professional engineer, and <br />in exp lain in writing the necessity for use of the design. RIC-MAN shall maintain a copy of <br />the data reviewed by the registered professional engineer, as well as the name of the <br />professional engineer at the project as the excavation of the support system progresses. <br />After the support system is no longer needed, a copy of the design and all data, along with <br />the approval of the registered engineer shall be kept at the offices of RIC-M AN. <br /> <br />E. If RIC-MAN representatives choose to present a design, rather than data, to a <br />registered professional engineer for the approval of the registered professional engineer, <br />the following records will be maintained at the job site during the progress of the <br />excavation: <br /> <br />1. the design shall be maintained at the job site during excavation; <br />2. the plan indicating the sizes, types and configurations of the materials to <br />be used shall be maintained at the job site during excavation; <br />3. the identity of the professional engineer approving the design shall be <br />kept at the job site during the excavation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Following the completion of the e xcavation and the use of the support system , RIC- <br />MAN's representative will maintain a copy of the design and the back -up materials, along <br />with the registered engineer's consent at the principal offices of RIC -MAN. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Materials Used for Support and Protective Systems <br /> <br />A. RIC-MAN shall use materials for protective systems which shall not undermine <br />the success of the system. If an employee observes the possibility of failure of the system <br />or any component, the employee shall notify the superintendent immediately. <br /> <br />B. All employees who participate in the installation of support systems or shield <br />systems, shall install and maintain the systems in accordance with the recommendations <br />of the manufacturer, if RIC -MAN's representatives have electe d to use a manufacturer's <br />product for a support system.
