Security Controls <br />Synovus consistently monitors and mitigates information security risks that includes comprehensive <br />policies and standards on information security and privacy, frequent reporting to our executives, <br />external regulators, internal and external auditors, and strong authentication mechanisms for all <br />authorizations and effective security incident management processes. <br />Fraud Identification and Prevention <br />Synovus provides marketing leading fraud controls and unauthorized activity verification. Once <br />unauthorized activity is identified, alerts and notifications can be generated in real time to notify the <br />designated parties for the City. Activity can then be verified, and the hold is removed.If unauthorized <br />activity is present, the existing card will be fully canceled, and a new card (new account) number will <br />be issued. <br />Synovus has a consultative, proactive approach to implementation, customer service and on-going <br />account management to deliver financial savings not just in the rebate, but in processimprovements <br />to reduce buying/reconciliation cycle-time, fraud mitigation processes, providing for business expense <br />management needs and improved relationships with suppliers. We consider ourselves part of the <br />City’steam and will execute accordingly. <br />Financial considerations consist of a financial incentive program, that pays higher rebates for <br />increased spend, flexible rebate tiers and payment terms to maximize your financial return. <br />Synovus has various resources to support our technology and providetraining, on-going support and <br />reconfiguration of our commercial card program. Your commercial card programs- including Purchase <br />Cards and Virtual Card Programs,can be fully managed by our online platform, APSolutions. To help <br />our clients maximize cost savings and streamline costs allocation, Synovus provides our APSolutions <br />technology to integrate and allocate card accounting data into various accounting systems, as well as <br />support card management (card issuance/cancellation,changecredit limits). The Program <br />administrator(s) will also have access to call the APSolutions support line for support and assistance <br />with the platform. Additional training or account troubleshooting can occur as needed for Program <br />Administrators over a virtual meeting platform. <br />Flexible Spending Controls and Restrictionscan be Establishedfor your Purchasing Card Program, <br />such as: <br />Cardholder level restrictions. <br />Department level restrictions. <br />Merchant Category Code (MCC) restrictions – this provides the capacity to include or exclude MCC <br />or group MCC’s in cardholder profile. <br />Monthly spending limit – a dollar limit for the sum of transactions and/or authorizations that can <br />occur ina single month. This limit refreshes monthly. <br />Dollar transaction limit – a dollar transaction limit determines the maximum dollar limit for a <br />single transaction. <br />Account spending limit – an account-spending limit determines the monthly purchase limit per <br />account. <br />Velocity transaction limit – a velocity transaction limit determines the criteria for the maximum <br />number of transactions allowable within a defined timeframe. <br />A dollar velocity transaction limit can also be established to allow no more than x dollars in y days. <br />Dollar limits by Merchant Category Code – specific dollar limits for purchases can be established <br />July 12, 2024Page 41 <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach RFP 24-06-01 <br />Banking Services - Synovus Bank Submission <br /> <br />
