Check vehicle for inspection sticker or other stickers and decals that may indicate a state of possible <br />registration; <br />F. Check a vehicle interior for any papers that may be in the glove box, trunk or other areas to establish <br />vehicle's state of registration. <br />Written notice to all interested parties shall be by certified mail, return receipt requested, and shall be completed <br />on mailing. Telephone notice shall also be given whenever possible. <br />Midtown Towing shall maintain a separate log of vehicles in which the owner or lienholder cannot be determined, <br />listing date, time and method of notification, location towed from and towing and storage charges. <br />15 — VIEWING OF IMPOUNDED VEHICLES: <br />Midtown Towing shall allow every registered vehicle owner, authorized agent or insurance representative, to <br />inspect the towed vehicle at the storage facility, with a reasonable time before payment of any charges, and upon <br />request and receipt of proper identification. The vehicle's owner or authorized representative shall be permitted <br />to remove from the vehicle any and all personal possessions not affixed to the vehicle, including but not limited to <br />telephones, tapes, tools, etc. The vehicle owner or authorized representative shall acknowledge receipt of such <br />property on a form provided by Midtown Towing of Miami, Inc. <br />16 — RELEASES: <br />Midtown Towing shall directly release any vehicle which has not been marked "Police Hold" to its registered owner <br />or authorized representative within thirty (30) minutes of receiving appropriate fees due, provided proper proof of <br />identification and ownership is presented. <br />Midtown Towing knows that any vehicle which is marked "Police Hold" must be released in accordance with the <br />procedures set forth in Administrative Regulations 110-6. Midtown Towing shall release any vehicle towed at the <br />request of a Police Department Supervisor only to the person whose name appears on the title or registration <br />certificate as the registered owner of the vehicle, or the authorized agent of such person. <br />Midtown Towing shall require that persons who complete the application for the release of a vehicle shall be <br />required to produce proof of ownership by presentation of a title or registration, photo identification and, where <br />applicable, proof of agency. A photocopy of the identification used for the release shall be attached to the yellow <br />copy of the Vehicle Storage Receipt. This information shall be clearly legible. <br />Midtown Towing understands that all motor vehicles that have not been claimed must be disposed of according to <br />applicable laws. If Midtown Towing disposes of an unclaimed vehicle by sale, Midtown Towing shall be required <br />within three (3) days after the sale, or if a title is surrendered for payment, to submit a detailed listing of the <br />vehicle identification number, total receipt number, police case number, year, make, model, bodies received, <br />purchasers name, address and local telephone number. <br />In the event that the vehicle is destroyed Midtown Towing shall provide the Police Department with a copy of the <br />Certificate of Destruction as required by Section 713.78, Florida Statutes, and shall attach it to the yellow copy of <br />the Vehicle Storage Receipt. Midtown Towing shall record the name, address and telephone number of the person <br />or company taking possession.
