<br />19 <br /> RFP 24-12-01 CITYWIDE ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />18070 Collins Ave. | Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160 <br />305.792.1707 | sibfl.net | Purchasing@sibfl.net <br />Location(s): <br /> <br /> <br /> ADDITION OF FUTURE FACILTIES <br /> <br />The City may require the addition of services to the contract if the requirements and needs of <br />the City change. This may entail additions of services required at locations not referenced in the <br />plans/specifications. Upon the City’s request, the Contractor shall provide the City with a cost <br />for the additional locations and/or services based upon the unit price found in the Price Sheet. <br /> <br />3.1.1 ANNUAL SAFETY TESTING <br /> <br />Test equipment as outlined in the American National Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, <br />ANSI A17.1, current edition as of the effective date of this agreement. The awarded contractor <br />will perform governor and safety tests on traction elevators once per year and relief pressure tests <br />on hydraulic elevators once per year. <br /> <br />The city agrees to pay for any costs of a third-party inspector or inspection fees. <br /> <br />3.1.2 MONTHLY REGULAR SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE SERVICE: <br /> <br />Elevator Contractor expressly acknowledges that the City is relying on Elevator Contractor's <br />professional expertise in performance of Services to achieve desired results. Under no <br />circumstances shall a mechanic be called away from the job site until the scheduled maintenance <br />is completed. <br /> <br />Elevator Contractor agrees to monthly examine, clean, lubricate, adjust, and, as conditions <br />warrant, repair, or replace all vertical transportation equipment included under the Agreement <br />at least on a monthly basis. Elevator Contractor shall maintain elevator machine rooms, <br />hoistways, pits, car tops, and equipment in or on these areas in a consistently clean condition. <br />The Elevator Contractor will replace parts and material in order to maintain the equipment in safe <br />operating condition. Where applicable, the contractor shall perform, but shall not be limited to, <br />the following maintenance procedures: <br /> <br />a. The contractor shall maintain, at all times, the original contract speed in feet per minute, unless <br />otherwise instructed by the Project Manager.
