THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />PROJECT NO. 21-1011 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT RELOCATION TO ANNEX <br /> <br />Project No. 21-1011 November 2024 083453-3 <br /> <br />1. Door shall be of frameless construction and delivered as complete assembly with <br />top header, top shoe, bottom shoe and pivot hinges. <br /> <br />F. Door Hardware: <br /> <br />1. Closer: As selected from manufacturer’s standard range of options. <br /> <br />2. Locks: As selected from manufacturer’s standard range of options. <br /> <br />3. Pull handle: As selected from manufacturer’s standard range of options. <br /> <br />G. Factory-applied finish: As selected from manufacturer’s standard range of options. <br /> <br />H. Field alterations to the construction of the assembly fabricated under the acceptable <br />standards are not allowed unless approved in writing by the manufacturer and the <br />Architect. <br /> <br />I. Standard manufacturing tolerances +/- 1/16" shall be maintained. <br /> <br />2.2 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA <br /> <br />A. Ballistic Resistant: anu <br /> <br />1. Level [1] [2] [3] in accordance with UL 752 – Testing for Ballistic Resistance for <br />the complete assembly including framing, glazing and panels. <br /> <br />2.3 FABRICATION <br />A. Units shall be completely shop-fabricated by manufacturer ready for installation. <br /> <br />B. Tolerances: All joints and connections shall be tight, providing hairline joints and true <br />alignment of adjacent members <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.1 PREPARATION <br />A. Prior to beginning installation, verify that all supports have been installed as required by <br />the Contract Documents and architectural drawings, and Shop Drawings have been <br />approved. <br /> <br />B. Notify Architect of any unsatisfactory preparation that is responsibility of others. <br /> <br />C. Clean and prepare all surfaces per manufacturers recommendations as required for <br />achieving the best results for the substrate under the project conditions. <br /> <br />D. Verify field dimensions of openings prior to fabrication of framing. <br /> <br />E. Coordinate structural requirements to ensure proper attachment and support. <br /> <br />F. Do not begin installation of material until all unsatisfactory conditions have been resolved <br />and approved by Architect. <br />
